I love closed guard and would use it exclusively if I can get the grips (namely a deep and threatening collar grip) I want. If I cannot get the grips that create the physical and mental pressure I need to maintain closed guard I have to switch to open guard because people my rank will pass my closed guard.

I am not impress by this performance. But for those that might have been attempting to keep score, I had 9-2 manny under ibjjf rules. 2 takedown, 3 pass, 4 back mount for manny and 2 takedown for kenny. With that being said Manny was playing a competition style and running away from much of what Kenny had to offer, while Kenny just kinda went with it.

I appreciate beauty and mechanics both. As an owner of a Xbox 360 and Nintendo wii I will say it hurts my eyes to play on the wii after playing a beautifully rendered game in 1080p on my 60 inch led. I think Nintendo is making a mistake by catering exclusively to the casual and kiddie markets. Why not make a platform that can do both, they cannot rely on the same nostalgia forever.
