It sounds like they're not- in the article, after Julia (the teen) met with Shoket (the editor), Shoket said that Julia has come to understand how Seventeen makes its images, etc, and talks about Julia changing her views, and not the other way around. Sounded like lip service to me, especially when Julia later said she still would like Seventeen to change.

"Beer bad" is probably my favorite. That, and i know it's not unique to Buffy, but just the way Giles says "Oh dear" is its own phrase.

I've never heard of that. And anyway, even when the bride and groom pay, it usually costs about $5 per person (depending on how swanky it is). $80 sounds ludicrous.
