I liked this article. I'm not crazy about drinking, I get nauseated and am not a huge fan of the taste of 95% of drinks, but I absolutely see the value in what this author's suggesting. Once you strip away all the social expectations and take a good, hard look at yourself...You learn some things about who you are. This guy is a fucking prince, he says. He's exactly right.

There are other ways to achieve this, as I'm not totally convinced that alcohol needs to be a part of the process. But he's right in saying that we don't often sit down and look at ourselves without feeling the need to turn on the TV after five minutes. I'd recommend meditation, which might be a bit slower method, or MDMA, which results in a reflective look at yourself in a social setting that allows you to practice your new-found comfort and liberty.
