Thanks! If you need any local wedding help, feel free to hit me up! I'm definitely a bride on a budget in a very expensive city.

If you feel like moving the party to Tybee Island, the Lighthouse is super affordable. I'm getting married there this September!

What are your favorite things to do with friends that are cheap, easy and instantly fun? by Noedelin AskReddit

My hometown had TONS of parks. Now I live in a city with shitty parks that are all out of walking distance. Totally sucks, man :(

My mother still doesn't trust me with valuables because I lost my discman 9 years ago. What things do your parents/relatives still unfairly hold against you? by xxneonlovein AskReddit

My grandfather blamed computer viruses on me going on Facebook or YouTube. Never mind the fact that his son and nephew were always illegally downloading shit and watching porn. Nope! My fault!

Let's all take a moment to notice how my lovely, personal computer has not a single virus.

I've had to quit smoking during this difficult job search. My stomach is killing me and I can barely eat. I can't wait to get a stable job so I can start smoking again and feel like my stomach isn't trying to destroy me.

I was literally just telling my fiancé about the roses! (Pst, he still wants to marry me regardless of all the "petals that have been plucked.")

Typecasting: Hey reddit, having issues figuring what my "type" is for film acting. Any help? by DarthTheonin acting

[–]RainbowStar -1 points0 points ago

True. If he wants us to tell us just based on the photo then we can do that. But if he really wants to know his type, we need more information. At least I think so. I don't like to type someone without seeing them at least audition and having a look at their experience.

You know, that might be an interesting thing to do here. Everyone can put up headshots and we can all tell each other what we think just based on the photos alone. It might be interesting to hear from people who have never seen you and only get to judge you based on your headshot. I'm out of town until tomorrow, but I would be happy to start the thread once I got home.

Without knowing your abilities or seeing you act, it is nearly impossible for us to tell you your type.

I disagree. I think it benefits an actor to know his or her type. It helps to market yourself. That certainly doesn't mean that you can't play or audition for other roles. You have to tell directors who you are and what can you do. It won't do much good if the director sits there and thinks, "Great! I have no idea how what role for you though." But if you know your type you can audition in a way that will inspire directors to realize the roles you can play. I think I might be rambling at this point, but I had a really inspirational theatre professor explain this to me. You have to think of yourself as a small business and know how to market yourself. Knowing your type helps more than hurts.

Today was a pretty upsetting day. I got fired yesterday so I spent all day looking for jobs online, crying a bit, and drinking. Then my fiancé came home from work and we went out to Mexican with a few friends. But now that I've had my day of moping, tomorrow will be my day.

It blew my mind when I learned that your foot is always the same length as your forearm. Reddit, what are your favorite fun facts? by Thestigsfatcousinin AskReddit

[–]RainbowStar 5 points6 points ago

As in professional singer or actor (it was a theatre voice class). I have no idea if it benefits at all. I've noticed that while performing my tongue falls flat, but in my day to day life it likes chilling at the roof of my mouth.

I hope it's not a sexy trick! I had a teacher that had us do it! Well, there goes my childhood.

I had a voice professor explain this to me! She claimed that the tongue is the only muscle that doesn't connect to something on two sides, so it tries to stabilize itself by naturally resting on the roof of your mouth, but a trained tongue and voice will learn to keep the tongue flat. I never researched it though so she could have just been lying.

Have you considered moving from film to theatre? It seems like your original drive and imagination would greatly benefit you in effects or props work on stage.

My friend needs help in hair growth. Any suggestions? by phoenixreborn90in FancyFollicles

[–]RainbowStar 0 points1 point ago

She could try taking Biotin. You can get it at any drug store. I went from shoulder length hair to hair past my boobs in a matter of 5 months from taking biotin and keeping my hair and scalp healthy like TheMentoMan suggested.
