not that kind of a barn, they were in a storage barn. Where I live we call any outside building a barn.

I think it was the combination of getting held today with Juve putting 4 past Roma that really makes it hurt... but there are still enough games left that we are not out of it...

I always heard, "Crazy, i was crazy once, they locked me in a round padded room. I died there, they buried me, they were worms. Worms drive me crazy."

I stand abashed, I read through some of the post but, I did not read the side bar more than enough to see what the acronyms meant... I will now go and stand in the corner in shame.

Do you feel that emotions/feelings are really the best way to gauge God's presence? by partofaplan2in Christianity

By definition we just disbelieve in any gods, not necessarily claim to know that there isn't one.

by definition if you disbelieve in something you are saying that it doesn't exist

well, there are only two things you can do with truth... accept it or reject it. If you have evidence that you believe proves there is no God, then you must follow your course, but know that God is gracious and will always be willing to welcome you into the family.

Oh I didn't understand that about the /s, I thought it was just a typo... but I was just poking an open wound anyway... I will support Pato as a player anywhere he goes... if he is able to keep on keeping on.

Logic in any terms is taking the evidence that is available and making a decision based on that evidence.

I believe that there is greater evidence in this world that points to their being a Creator than there is for spontaneous generation. I believe that there is greater evidence in support of the Bible as the word of the Creator than any other document in history.

Therefore, I believe that when taken together these two points can only add up to the God of the Bible being the one true Creator.

People have argued about the evidence for long enough that I don't care to do hash that out again here.

I do want to apologize if my response truly caused you anguish as I was only trying to be honest. I thought you were merely trolling so I responded in that manner. I do not think you are a fool, or a crazy person for not believing as I do, I merely believe that to look at this world and say that must have been an accident just seems illogical.

the article "or" in English denotes a choice between one or the other, if you feel like a fool that is completely on your head, I merely said that denying logic is irrational

Again, this seems rather arbitrary. Of course it is arbitrary, God sets the mark, God makes the rules I was not addressing you.

I think you missed my point, the that I was making is that it is not our job to decide what is and isn't sin, God has made that decision. It is also not our job to choose how to deal with sin, God has also made that choice already.

m-w.com has for the third definition of insanity - 3.a : extreme folly or unreasonableness b : something utterly foolish or unreasonable... Considering that I would say yes, yes you are... but only by the 3rd definition, I make no charges against your mental facilities.

the definition of sin is "missing the mark". That is the mark set by God, the mark that was only met in this world by God himself in the form of Jesus of Nazareth.

So whether or not something is "harmful" does not decide if it is a sin, alcohol is very often harmful both to the person and those around them, but alcohol is not inherently sinful.

Homosexuality is a sin because God set the mark for sexual relations to be between one man and his wife, therefore anything that deviates from that is a sin.

The real question then becomes, why are we so hard on homosexuals but not on those who have pre-marital sex or extra-marital sex or even those who speed when they drive their cars down the road.

Sin should be confronted and not excepted, but we must do so in a loving and gentle way, that means loving the person but letting them know in no uncertain terms that you are not ok with what they do.

This is the kind of information that I was looking for... I know that nothing is ever over until it is over, but trying to look up "soccer players that have come back from recurring injury" just gives you a bunch of players who had to retire not those that made it.
