TROPHY CASE

I'll never make scrambled eggs the same way again! by deftkillerstuin videos

[–]Pufflekun 36 points37 points ago

This is just my opinion, but scrambled eggs taste way better when they look a little runny like that. I really hate rubbery, hard, solid eggs.

However, if you don't like your eggs runny at all, I highly recommend you try Julia Child's method of making an omelette.

I can see teaching a child to pee on dogs and cats having negative consequences.

It takes the average U.S. worker nearly a month to make what the average CEO earns in an hour by twolf1in news

[–]Pufflekun -1 points0 points ago

As another extreme argument to your plan, let's pretend the government now steps in and mandates that you have to give 40 weeks of paid vacation time. As a business owner, how do you feel about that?

What the fuck kind of argument is that?

That's like saying having a speed limit of 5 MPH on every road in America is ridiculous, so therefore we shouldn't have any speed limits. It's like reading a parody of slippery slope arguments. You've gone beyond the mere logical fallacy, into the realm of sheer insanity.

If you're a PC gamer, you could choose to immediately convert your store credit to Steam credits.

You said that forced paid vacation lowers employee salaries. You then give an example of $45,000 + $5,000 vs. $50,000, which is the exact same salary.

Our house burned down. After digging it out of the ash and 2 hours of scrubbing later... by Salemkylarin gaming

[–]Pufflekun 73 points74 points ago

I have this hilarious mental image of you coming home from work, seeing your entire house reduced to smoldering ash, and you crying out in anguish and dispair: "My Xbox! Why‽ Why, God, why have you done this‽"

And then taking two hours to clean the ashes off because you're slowly rinsing them off with your tears.

Unless you play competitively, there's really no good reason to sacrifice graphics quality for that kind of framerate, even if you own a 120Hz monitor.

Given how technologically advanced the suit is, you'd think there'd be a way to silently circulate air into the suit.

Nurse refuses student inhaler during asthma attack by croutonsoupin offbeat

[–]Pufflekun 0 points1 point ago

He would die a slow and painful death, because his ability to take in enough oxygen would slowly be lost. During this process, he would still be able to take in just enough oxygen not to pass out, but still not enough to be at all comfortable. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

It seems strange that evolution wouldn't select for the ones that can go the longest without eating, though. Obviously a high metabolism has huge advantages, but I still wonder why not having to eat multiple times every hour isn't an even bigger advantage.

Nurse refuses student inhaler during asthma attack by croutonsoupin offbeat

[–]Pufflekun 53 points54 points ago

should have contacted another health care professional immediately

No, she should've given him his fucking inhaler immediately.

If a child isn't faking and is not given his inhaler, he'll feel like his lungs have thousands of pounds of pressure on them and have been set on fire. The fiery pain will become more intense for as long as he doesn't take his inhaler. Depending on the severity of the attack, his lungs may slowly lose the ability to take in enough oxygen, and he'll die a slow and painful death.

On the other hand, if a child is faking and takes his inhaler when he doesn't actually need it, this would result in his heart rate slightly increasing, and possibly a slight jittery feeling. (You know a similar feeling if you've ever drank a cup of strong coffee.)
