That was sad to read; no surprise really, we also have ignorant assholes in power. A lot of this national security bullshit is the flow on effect from security measures put in over in the US. Another "for your safety", serve and protect lie to have more control. Australia wishes anyone cared enough for it to be a "terrorist" target...they will bust a few people carrying nail scissors at best.

Politics, religion and crazy go hand in hand I guess, more so in the US from what I can see. So, Obama is still a good (/sane) candidate? ...even with how generally unhappy the people are with the job he has done? (this is at least how it looks from outside)
