I am not ignoring the results that they have been to the playoffs every year besides 2008. Did they win championships each time? You said that they buy championships. With that definition the Yankees should win a World Series every year and the ALCS should be Yankees - Red Sox and the World Series should be Yankees - Philly every year. I know they have the highest payroll and I am not arguing that.

The Yankees in 1998 were one of the best teams in baseball history. Their payroll was second to the O's. From 99-2001 they had the highest payroll, but #2 was right behind them. It blew up when they bought A-Rod and they only won one with him. So technically no, the Yankees have not bought championships. The Giants fought for theirs. The Mets, Islanders and Knicks haven't won shit in over 25 years. The Rangers haven't won shit since 94 and I believe the Flyers have the highest payroll in NHL?

I know this statement was probably made as a joke but I am sick of hearing it. Especially from New England sports fans (not saying you are, just in general). They act like their teams are small market teams.... sorry, rant over.

I met him after a game about 3-4 years ago. He was catching a cab on 7th. The man looked sharp. I shook his hand even in my Isles jersey. Nice guy

I have been working out pretty hard the past few months and noticed that my waist size has increased a bit. I do at least 20-25 minutes of cardio 4 - 5 times a week as well as lifting. My caloric intake is a lot lower then it should be. My question is more or less is it common for your waist to get bigger? I am/was a 34" and noticed that I am now about a 35".
