I went misdiagnosed with a disease for 23 years, and at times people thought I was crazy. So I somewhat sympathize.

Yes, I must say that I honestly wonder whether it is lack of job, or poor financial decisions whilst having a job (home they couldn't afford, etc) that led these people to this situation.

I don't need you, or anyone else to tell me that I don't have Lyme Disease. You do not know my situation, or my treatment, or my history. I am a genuinely sick person and for you to tell me I'm not, doesn't make you a very good doctor. I loop doctors like you into the category of the doctors that verbally and mentally abused me for 23 years.

On the flip side, there are a lot of people who have been diagnosed with those "other" diseases that got better with Lyme Treatment. I am also wondering if you have ever looked at the Research by Alan McDonald, who was on the forefront of Lyme Disease related Alzheimer research.

This person shouldn't discount searching for an answer, just because you say that I am wrong.

All of the diseases that you mention, have no cure and no cause. You don't think for one second that many of the auto immune conditions we currently face, could possibly be caused by chronic bacterial and/or viral infections? It is fact that people with HIV have a higher risk of developing dementia and other neuro-degenerative diseases. Not all diseases live on their own, many can lead to many other things.

You are not wrong in saying that Lyme Disease patients get diagnosed with those other diseases, but you can not discount that there could possibly be an underlying infection, whether it be Lyme or not.

I just want to say that the fact that I am getting Downvoted is ridiculous. I've been living with this horror my entire life and if my experience is invalid because it goes against medical norms, then so be it.

You can believe what you hear on here, from people who have never dealt with this disease, but it will probably get you nowhere. Reading a few PDFs about Lyme disease doesn't make you an expert, and it definitely doesn't do well for disproving the whole CDC controversy argument

I'm sorry but this is just vastly untrue. It depends on what state you got your Western Blot in, and many other factors as well. There is also the whole Band 31 controversy. Band 31 is a band that most people with Lyme Disease show, and it indicates a chronic infection. However, it has been taken out of most tests. Also, the CDC requires 5 bands positive on a Western Blot, when many Lyme patients have 3 or 4 and therefore come up negative.
