Not going to happen. At least, not anytime soon. It's the same reason you don't see any tv company offering you to pick each channel you want individually. Most people would only want 15-25 channels, which would inflate the personal price for those channels wildly. And those channels you hate? They belong or are partnered in some way to the channels you like - it's great in their interest to bundle them with channels you like.

It's a messy system and I'm not trying to justify it, the customer is definitely at the mercy of the insane contracts tv companies have to deal with from programmers themselves. What I can say is a few TV companies are making strives towards internet based content and easier access - but there's still a ton of legal tape and the programmers themselves are indeed scared shitless of piracy just as much as you think they are.

This guy literally listed the exact 3 I listen to, and only those 3. Limited Resources is amazing and his videos on mtgoacademy are useful beyond imagining for drafters.

I pretty much watched all his before giving MTGO drafts a shot, and haven't gone less than 2-1 in swiss in awhile. Definitely worth the time if you play limited.

I play with friends and friends only these days between my apartment and my pal a few doors down. Still, this kind of stuff is worrisome. I've been considering MTGO for a long while now, and the idea of not physically owning cards is not seeming as horrible when I hear stories like this.

I haven't been following the tournament scene too closely, but are any top players discussing this? Seriously, there is no reason why top players should not be including it in their post-win interviews and calling out blizzards need of lan, even in games that nothing happened.

I would love to see how long they would continue to ignore the problem if every single major tournament mentions the lack of LAN from players.

It's a great quote, but you've completely taken it out of context with that image what the actually quotes about and what Jimmy is saying. If anything The Wire just portrays the average street cop as having little say, and the whole directives as "shit rolling downhill".

Highly recommend actually watching The Wire and then see how you feel about that quote in the context of the episode.

Yeah! Loving it. Took the day off to track Kim-Jong Un being dead/not dead, and it's since become a MTG streaming day. Definitely pizza order worthy. LOVE the high quality setting. Not to mention the commentating and even in the downtime, good footage.

No, I use isochron scepter in my version of the deck. As mentioned in the notes that's not my post, that's the post that inspired me to create a version of the deck in the first place. In multiplayer I find the iso scepter is a really great beacon of hatred - people ignore my hand and the possibility I'm sitting on a ton more fogs while they work on getting rid of those :).

I think if you're doing a four person game, it would go really well. The first person who tries to swipe you can be heavily punished and left open to the others on the table. By the time they realized what's going on, you'd have too good an engine / board wipes for them to respond. Past four players in free for all? You're probably dead :).

In my game the focus was entirely on "Dude, get rid of his scepter" and you can't help but smile as you're holding another in hand and 5 fogs. Oh, I also mainboard elixir of immortality to prevent myself from decking in multi. Pretty important. I hope you build it and have fun!
