The real tragedy about the friendzone is that girls who friendzone guys don't even really treat them as friends, but instead as disposable tools. Someone they can talk to, vent to, take them places, be their wingman, (in some cases buy them things), etc. But when they move on for whatever reason, (found a new boyfriend, moved away, change jobs, take different classes, whatever) they don't make any effort to retain the friendship.

I've been friendzoned several times willingly. That is, I wasn't interested in a relationship. And each time when the friendship 'expired' they made no effort to try to communicate, and in the cases where I reached out just to say hi, they've been cordial but distant in the 'oh hey, how've you been? ok take care! (but I don't expect to see you again)' sort of way.

I want to make a distinction between 'girls who friendzone' and girls who simply make friends. The latter are normal healthy people and the former are these sort of narcissistic personalities who care mostly for themselves or if they care for anything/anyone else it pretty much leads back to them.

I used to be bitter about it until I realized they were just pretty lame people. But for younger redditors I can understand their bitterness around being friendzoned. A true friend would care about your wellbeing even if they don't reciprocate your romantic feelings. A real friend might get to know you enough to realize you like them and address the situation in a way you can both walk away happy.

tl;dr: Bitter fags with no balls get friendzoned need to man up and stop being pussies.
