Is there something the US doesn't threaten?

Turns out, through some unknown combination of keystrokes, my choice of language goes from "English : US" to "French Canadian" - that's why.

I have no idea how I trigger it, but it happens.

I make this kind of sauce often, and its lasted for up to a year. (only a year because its gone by then) refrigerated or not.

Look up salsa canning recipes and you`ll understand why PH levels kill pathogens...so..yeah, lots of vinegar and salt, you have nothing to worry about.

Of course not, I'm just suggesting that people emulate what they perceive to be the appropriate way to deal with things as they see them displayed elsewhere, right or not. ...Oh god...I've opened up the whole "relative morality argument...." sorry.

Sorry [5]

Great, more anonymous, cowardly downvotes....If you have an opinion, make it known. I'd be happy to hear why you think popular culture doesn't fuel unobtainable standards of living....and lead to bitter, failed suckers who lash out instead of moving forward when they realize they can't have what they see.

The victim surcharge is something they tack on to all HTA and criminal offences to compensate victims of crime. It's a fund. However, the presiding justice has the discretion to waive it, I've had it waived many times for clients who are clearly not 'in funds".

Omar Comin!!!

Edit: as for the downvoter of my comment, I work in the Criminal justice system...and yeah, it is usually exactly this kind of nonsense.

My wife works at the Mayflower, she said it was a pretty awesome sight at 6am. They had the whole street of business owners camped out in the restaurant all morning.

Cumin rubbed pork roast with crackling anyone? by OGLotharin tonightsdinner

[–]OGLothar[S] 0 points1 point ago

Here's how I do it to get it perfect every time:

Score and salt the skin the day before. Season the roast however you want and put back in the fridge, but leave the skin exposed to the air, it will dry out a lot more. The next day, bring the roast up to room temp, then oil or spray the roast lightly with a canola or olive oil. Put it in at 450F for about 20 minutes to get the crackling going, then reduce to 300 or so until done. You can jack the heat at the end again if the crackling is not as done as you like.

It should be deafening when you eat it.

Who's got a reliable recipe for super puffy Yorkshire puddings? It's been so long, I've lost the one method I had that always worked great. I remember it was higher in eggs than usual.... by OGLotharin Cooking

A reasonable success. Thank you everyone. Basically I saw the common elements as a 1:1:1: ratio and beat the shit out of the ingredients to include as much air in the mixture as possible.

Mmmmm....Dinner :)

Edit: here's the pork roast with crackling that went with them

Making curry tonight - how do I make my potion much hotter than the rest? by PlayDoctorsin spicy

[–]OGLothar 13 points14 points ago*

When I have to cook Indian food for wimpy people, I finely chop a bunch of thai chiles or habaneros, whatever you have and put them in a bowl with some lime juice and cilantro. Sprinkle this over your portions and your plate, it tastes great and adds a nice fresh flavour in addition to heat without masking the curry flavours.
