[F]rom 200 to 145! [NSFW - Lady in bra and underwear] Need some encouragement... Emotional eating this week. Knock sense into me. by WormTicklein loseit_classic

[–]MrsPumpkincrook 3 points4 points ago

We all have our ups and we all have our downs. So you had a bad week. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going. Just look at how far you've come!!

Something that always helps me is thinking about "future me". Before shoveling food into my face or before bailing on a workout, I always think about future me. "Future me" will regret "present me" overeating, or being underactive. Works like a charm.

Congrats and keep it up! You look beautiful!

Very true. I'm looking forward to being able to taste how the beer evolves!

Hmmm never heard of adding fenugreek. I will definitely look into that!

I used an entire gallon of Grade B maple syrup which is typically darker and much more flavourful than Grade A...

But I will definitely look into supplementing the flavour with maple extract. Thanks for the tip!

Going to Sicily Next Week For Holiday. by gomer81in italy

Definitely check out the catacombs. They are absolutely worth it. The Duomo di Monreale has amazing mosaic work, it is also definitely worth a visit as well. As for restaurant suggestions, I'm sorry I can't help you with that one. Good luck and have a great time!

REALLY felt like German food last night: Sausages, apple bacon sauerkraut, and potatoes. by MrsPumpkincrookin food

This. There is a time and place for all beers. I live in the northwest - craft beer here is amongst the best in the world. Elysian, Ninkasi, Deschutes, the list is HUGE. They are all fantastic. However, I'm from Toronto, Canada - and sometimes I just love to sit and have 12 Molson Canadians. There's nothing wrong with that either. Taste is a personal choice.

That was 7 years ago... at the grocery store + pfand. Sooo like 40 cents? It was way way way cheaper there though.

In my defense, I felt like German food. Not necessarily beer.. But you're right, there's nothing like washing down a good plate of German food with a great Hefeweizen.

Got the sausages in Seattle... looked good, tasted good but I agree - they're not really German. I was just too lazy to look around for "authentic" German-style sausages. :)

Ah! I did that for my third year at uni! I was in Freiburg. Where are you? P.S. Best year of my life :)

Just picked up some sausages from the store, mashed up some potatoes with garlic, sour cream, goat cheese, butter, and milk and used this recipe more or less for the kraut!

EDIT: for all of you berating my beer choice, it's all I had in my fridge. German beer can be really expensive here in North America. After being in Germany and paying 20 Euro cents for a bottle of beer, I can't bring myself to pay $3.50 for a bottle of decent Hefeweizen. :)

Anyone else have middle-of-the-night anxiety attacks? by dirtyslatternin Anxiety

Oh god. This happens to me about 6 times a month. It's SO fucking scary. Since I always have a clean bill of health, I'm assuming it's just a panic attack.
