My friends don't understand why I feel this way. I LOVED Empire for it's ability to pull me into a movie completely to where I felt like I was a part of it.

However, the 2 scenes in Return that I will forever stand by are:

1. When Vader sees Luke dying and makes that decision to kill the Emporer; even though there isn't a moving face/eyes to show the emotion -you can FEEL Vader's struggle within. That in combination with Luke screaming for his life send chills through my body.

2. For more personal reasons, the scene where Luke is hiding from Vader and Vader finds out about Leia and delivers the line "...then perhaps she will." and an enraged Luke finally defeats Vader. The raw emotion coupled with the hymnal singing and lightsaber duel resonates deeply within me every time I watch it. Not since the first confrontation between Luke and Vader in Empire has moved me that much.
