Yep, it's safe to enable the inline viewer and any other RES/Imgur feature, but you might have to clear your browser's cache.

Sorry about this! It was a bug with a recent change in the API (regarding more aggressive caching of the results to lessen over capacity's) that turned out to have catastrophic results. It's been fixed as of about 45 minutes ago.

If anyone needs me to explain the situation to their boss then let me know!

Hey guys, I'm really sorry about this. There's an ad roaming around that adds useless entries into your browser's history, which screws up the back button. We're trying to track it down and contacting all the ad networks we work with to see if they can help.

I just want to let you know that this is not something I'm doing on purpose. It's complete bullshit and we're working on getting it fixed.

I'd love to get rid of that for you, but it's not from Imgur. It looks like you're using RES, which just embeds the image into the page. That popup must be from RES, reddit, or something else, like spyware.

No, not at all (we have it set to 72). The only thing is that it's a little "hard" right now because we're still waiting on the couch, cushy chairs, rugs, etc.

You could try disabling your addons. I've heard of a couple that interfere with the way the images load.

I looks like that's the chrome extension, which isn't made by Imgur. You could try contacting the developer though.
