Crazy. I actually work on Hollywood blvd. and I still see these guys almost everyday. Even after seeing the documentary, this is still pretty surreal to see the two of them while casually browsing r/trees at an [8].

I welded in The Philippines myself actually. I was in the U.S. Navy though. Saw this same thing while I was there.

She lives on 20 acres in Northeast Oregon. She loves playing with the other 4 dogs on the property and she doesn't like being left inside for very long. She's about 6 months old and just LOVES being a puppy.

Hiking in Eastern Oregon - Wallowa Mountains - Best time? [crosspost r/backpacking] by roger_pctin CampingandHiking

[–]MiniDriver 0 points1 point ago

Well, my GF and I are certainly starting to realize how hard this is to explain.

We've got a few friends up there who are very well established and are letting us live in half their house on 20 acres, 8 miles outside of town. It's a welcome change from our current location in Hollywood, CA. Small town near a great landscape is definitely one reason, but La Grande is really a magical little place with so many great people and such a strong sense of community. Instead of the 'every man for themselves' mindset of Hollywood, people are a little more progressive up there and really care for each other. 'Liberal country-folk'

Dude, can't help you right now; but I'm gonna be moving to La Grande at the end of the Summer. Hit me up in the Fall and we'll do this!!

I guess the U.S.' free-trade agreement with them has really worked in their favor.

Beverly Hills High School: Too Dangerous to Keep Open. by WhenDookieCallsin LosAngeles

[–]MiniDriver 8 points9 points ago

It seems like all they did was take the original video and edit out any mention of the subway. Awesome.

Btw, I drove by Beverly High on Olympic today, and you could see a crew working on that oil platform 30 feet from where a bunch of kids were running around the track. Just another example of how ridiculous their argument is. Maybe if Metro PAID the high school a certain amount of MONEY to these rich bastards like the oil company does, this wouldn't be such an issue.

Towing with a TJ (AMA?) by bobblerablein Jeep

[–]MiniDriver 0 points1 point ago

Speaking of tightening your parking brake; how exactly do you do that? I'm pretty new to the Jeep community and I noticed that when I bought my 98 TJ a couple months ago, the parking brake seems pretty weak. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah. Lots of good horse trails and rock climbing up there too. I used to live in Ventura county and would head up there quite often to get away.

Do you guys know anyone who constantly makes up bullshit? If so, what are some of their most absurd lies? by jpagel1in AskReddit

[–]MiniDriver 1 point2 points ago

I do pirate things occasionally, just to seed them.

One time on Reddit, a guy claimed he only pirated copyrighted material from the internet occasionally, and only to seed them.

Then, he thought he could slip this one by us by inserting a clever anecdote about riding a bear!!

IAMA Hollywood Tour Guide. Let's talk about it, r/losangeles. by MiniDriverin LosAngeles

[–]MiniDriver[S] 0 points1 point ago

Well thanks for asking. Let me know when you wanna take a tour and I'll set you up. Unfortunately there's not a real demand for a HW history tour, so I don't think that'll happen as long as we live in a 'TMZ' world.

Around an hour-forty-five to two hours depending on traffic.

Well, thank you for your understanding, I really do feel bad sometimes driving around the homes in Beverly Hills. Especially during rush hour and I'm trying to pull out onto Benedict Canyon and I get a dozen dirty looks from the German cars. Believe me, I don't want to be there either. Unfortunately A LOT of people really REALLY want to see these houses, so it's bad business to not show them.

With that being said, it's really not that hard to get the attention of a van full of tourists. They're like gullible, sitting ducks. Just giving them a big smile and wave from your car or sidewalk can make them laugh sometimes.

Most tour guides get paid per tour not hourly. Some companies pay their drivers $30/tour others pay as much as $55/tour. I get $40.

You can see them getting a little nervous in your rear-view mirror for sure. Our company doesn't go up to the Lake Hollywood overlook though; but we do go up on Muholland.

[–]MiniDriver[S] 4 points5 points ago

Hahaha! I've never heard of that ever. There's a huge difference between actual tour guides and the hustlers on the sidewalk trying to sell you tours. Lord knows what they're up to.

[–]MiniDriver[S] 2 points3 points ago

No, it's not staged. We don't see a lot of 'A' listers just walking down the street (Rodeo dr. and Sunset Plaza if at all). But you'd be surprised how many people we see throughout the tour. Every now and then they're brave enough to walk up to the van and say hi; or at least wave.

Well, I'm trying to teach them. I love looking in the rear-view mirror and seeing that family from Wisconsin reacting to the crazy shit we see.
