The trick to playing LA Noire is finding the bartender that doesn't offer up a lot of details about themselves and their customers and the plot deflects questions to another character.

As someone who understands more than the average person on how acoustics work physically and biologically, I think your argument has little logical basis to it and is rather predisposed and supported merely by your own emotions on the matter. Therefore, I cannot accept your argument.

Our standard poodle has immune-mediated hemolytic anemia. Reddit, we're very nervous. Anyone have advice? by Minerva89in dogs

Saw the internist vet just now. Although PCV is steady at 18%, it appears her RBC's have increased 50% in size and have decreased in number. I think he quoted it having started at 2, then 1.5, now 1.2, but I'm unsure of the meaning of the numbers. I'm a bit concerned about her throwing clots in her capillaries with this drastically increased size despite having a lower actual number of them, but the internist seems unconcerned. Her pulse is still elevated (not dangerously) at rest, ~120bpm.

Thanks! This puts the situation in context. I recently discovered that she's on azathioprine AND dexamethasone via IV. I asked the vet about oral prednisone which we do have with us, he said that that would be the way to go on discharge, but not at the moment. A brief look on wiki about dexamethasone seems to suggest that it's quite potent relative to prednisone as well.

Hey, if it's the States, I wouldn't be surprised if someone can argue that giving medical care to someone else's property that clearly needed it, even on vet's advice, could be considered illegal in one way or another.

I agree with this, but be aware of the legal implications which I'm not very knowledgeable about. Pets are viewed as property, after all.

I can't imagine what corporate America would be like without JP Morgan. They have so many subsidiaries, I'd bet a bunch of products we all use would be affected.

Sorry for practically spamming you with updates, but we thought we'd give you a heads up about her PCV being back up at 17% as of 1115hrs this morning from 15% at 0400hrs. We're hoping it keeps climbing. arcticfawx wonders if there's anything we can do on our end as owners that might help stimulate RBC production?

Also, arcticfawx thinks that it might be more beneficial to switch to prednisone instead of azathioprine for the immunosuppression. The literature seems to suggest the former's efficacy as well. Do you have any advice regarding that?

Thanks, I'm sure you're busy with your own patients, so as always, we're super appreciative of your advice!

PCV this morning was at 15% and her pulse is consistently elevated. We're getting pretty concerned again. Our vet is thinking another transfusion might become necessary today, he'll have to decide when the next round of blood work at noon happens. He says that it's not uncommon, but we're obviously pretty concerned...

Thanks for the quick reply! Yea, she's definitely moving around a little more than when yesterday and certainly more than the day before. Still not taking to her food all too much, better than before, but it still inherently worries me, but I guess that comes with a sick puppy.

So, we're still at a PCV of 18%, which it has been for ~36 hours (~44hours since transfusion completed). Her pulse is higher than it was yesterday, even at rest it's at ~120bpm. Urine is still darkish maroon, which looks dark to me but apparently is lighter than it had been on Friday. She finally had a bowel movement, diarrhea at first, semi-soft stool after near the end, all of it bright orange. We're not sure what to think: on the one hand, she's not getting any worse, on the other hand, her PCV isn't climbing either. I'm really unsure as to whether we have a cause for concern? As always, drpancakes, your advice and opinion is much appreciated.
