People who say "water" only say that because they suck at building sandcastles.

Admonishing people not to downvote you is almost certainly the most effective way to go about garnering downvotes.

How are people competent enough to submit this shit but not competent enough to know how to unsubscribe from subreddits they don't like?

Volleyball and/or Tennis? by ayaPapayain twincitiessocial

[–]Midwest_Product 0 points1 point ago

We generally play at Kenwood Park or Webber Park, or doubles with some non-redditors at Zachary Playfield way out in the 'burbs. Based on the comments here I might try to do an "official" tennis meetup next Sunday afternoon if people are free then. Kenwood would be too busy, but Webber or some courts in St. Paul would work for me (or anywhere else, suggestions welcome).

edit: I think I'll push it back organizing anything for a week so people have more time to plan ahead, and so ayaPapaya won't be out of town. So, lets tentatively plan for the afternoon of Sunday, May 27.

hawaiisunset and I get together to play tennis on occasion. We used to do Sunday tennis meetups but we were pretty much the only two who ever showed up so we sort of gave up on attempting to organize formal meetups.

Is there a decent court near your place? I'm sure we'd both be happy to travel there.

Do you believe that your religion is right and others are wrong? by wazzup80in Christianity

[–]Midwest_Product 1 point2 points ago*

Thank you.

Edit: actually, it looks to me like the first two excerpts are talking about judgement day, and the one in Revelation only refers to people who "worship the beast." So what happened to, say, a Hindu who died last year? Nothing in the scripture you quoted seems to apply to them. Is this incorrect?

And again, how do you get from scripture saying that God is capable of destroying the soul of a nonbeliever to knowing beyond any shadow of a doubt that God will destroy the soul of every nonbeliever?

But again, how do you go from "God can destroy both soul and body in hell" to "God will destroy the soul of every single non-believer in existence."?

If it's not too rude to inquire, I'd be very curious about both the questions and their answers.
