If it shows up on your transcript as a pass, you're fine. Don't trust SOLUS, she's just there to fuck with you.

Stop being nice to your meringue! After multiple trials of beating my whites just right, I gave up and just beat the bejesus out of them til they were nice and stiff. Fold in your dry mix, and keep folding until your mix is viscous enough to leave a little lump on top during piping but liquid enough to smooth out after a few minutes of resting. Pop'em in the oven and let'r rip.

Thanks a lot. I'm looking into getting some clears, that's going to be the next addition I think. Anyone know where to pick those up?

Ya the guy at the shop convinced me to do the moldings, handles and splitters. I'm happy with them because I think it makes it a bit more unique and newer looking. Sorry to hear of your E36 .. RIP

Just well kept, there are a few small rips in the leather but still pretty nice. It's been lowered an inch in the front and an inch and a half in the back and added new M sport rims but other than that it's stock. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads-up, I never know how to fit in in new subreddits!

We cut out a pretty sketchy edge guide, which resulted in some seriously imperfect interior hexes. As a result, each piece of glass needed to be individually cut to the shape of its corresponding hex.

For the roads, I cut corks into quarters and carved them to look flat-ish. Settlements were cut from synthetic corks in a style mimicking the house shape of the original game pieces. Cities were carved from champagne corks into castle-tower shapes (they have little battlements!).

And finally, the ports. The ports are pretty shit, to be honest. I crafted some popsicle stick rectangles and just drew on the appropriate resources and ratios. I'm not terribly proud of them, but they get the job done.

If I get a chance to tomorrow, I'll take a few photos of the game pieces. For now, the game lives with its new owner.

I ended up using a polyurethane/stain combo - I needed a dark colour, and my home depot was not up to par on shellac options. My first attempt at staining them was an absolute train wreck of streaks and bubbles, so I sanded them down and started over with a bit more care.

Because of the scale of the hexes (they're a bit larger than the normal game pieces) and imperfections in shape, I had to make roads that were wider so that they could span any gaps between hexes. I ended up making all the player pieces out of cork (synthetic houses and champagne-cork cities) and painting them.

I'm completely new to glass work, so I had some difficulty getting accurate cuts. Luckily, a friend's mom is a stained glass hobbyist so I was able to enlist her help when I was getting a bit frustrated.

Actually, with the help of some buddies, we routed out the inner hexes and just used a band saw to cut out the hex pieces. And I am female.
