Dota supports are fully capable heroes of killing enemy players by themselves in the early game with clever play. As a Pudge player primarily I found blitz terribly unsatisfying due to his inability to 1v1 anyone really.

Rhasta is a good example of a solid support in Dota. His ult is awesome in team fights and pushes but if someone made a bad mistake they could find themselves circled by 6 snakes while snared. Late game he has 2 cc's by himself and can itemize for even more.

Naut/Mao/Ali/Leona/Blitz/etc can't really solo anyone except other supports unless there is some kind of life advantage/disadvantage.

Just started trying this since he is free this week. Unbelievably fun and pretty effective if you're good with skillshots. I was matched against a Kennen the other day who I could chunk down with 2 easy artilleries after void ooze so he had to play super safe or back off constantly.

How do you build him? I been doing R>E>Q>W and opening boots 3 pot into double doran sorc deathcap. After that I generally kinda pick a random item to try out, been liking morellos just for cd and mana regen.

Also, I find his passive is surprisingly amazing for trading kills if you get ganked. Not the most ideal perk but a perk nonetheless.

He's explaining why someone would hear that from a doctor contrasted with what your situation most likely is to explain why would you never hear a doctor ask you that.

Essentially, he's providing information for not just you specifically but anybody who reads this in the event that someone (like OP) may find it useful.

I agree, AD is boring for the most part, minus Corki and Vayne imo. Also I do enjoy Janna more than the other supports, she's actually my most played hero in ranked by a large amount.

I'm glad some people out there enjoy it. I do play a lot of support and actually do all those things. I just think despite all your contributions if your carry can't right click a minion successfully (some people are really bad at last hitting) it sucks that there is nothing you can do to fix the situation. I find that aspect of support to be what is frustrating/boring. It just feels like you rely on your team 100% while it isn't equal the other way around.

I actually really enjoyed the roamer meta. Playing Taric and Alistar in that way was a blast, you're supporting yet you still get to make big plays that snowball games.

This is actually where my gripe comes. I know in tournament play things are very much different but I figure since most of us aren't playing in tournaments the discussion would be around solo queue. I'm talking about ranked solo queue, and the lack of ability to carry on a support.

Even though top lanes aren't considered carries they still possess the ability to snowball a game out of control. Support is the only role that can't snowball at all.

I should probably edit my post everyone seems to be assuming I'm saying support isn't an important role which I highly disagree with. I'm just saying they lack any real game variation as there about only 4-5 regular viable supports and they all build the exact same items every game. I got my fingers crossed for a support op.

I said the support is critical to the success of the AD carry. Perhaps I was not clear enough in that regard? My problem is that even if you play support exceptionally well if your carry is an idiot there is nothing you can do to pull a win in your lane. Even if a support is having an off game a carry can still make a come around later in the game to make up for it and have impact on the game.

Like I said I play support 90% of the time. If I really thought it had no value I would just pick a bruiser or something.

Her first attack is health drain but with the added bonus of if they break the tether they are stunned, she can also move freely during this to set it off herself.

2nd ability is she creates a wall like anivia, however allies can move through it. Also it is on a vector so you can decide the angle of the wall and everything.

3rd is global health regeneration aura

ultimate: she jumps inside targetted ally hero giving them increase damage and aspd. She also gains access to another spell that makes them run faster for a short burst. While inside she doesn't take damage and can still use all her skills and items.

Incredibly fun hero, I was hoping Karma would turn out more like her, but alas that was not that case :[
