If you have a cat, be aware that tea tree oil is highly toxic to felines. Even residue of it on your fingers can make cats sick.

Another vote here for UD's Naked palette! I also love their 24/7 pencils and Skyscraper mascara. I'm a sucker for cruelty-free high-end makeup! With that much dough, I'd probably be able to get another palette to go along with all that stuff... drooool.

My dog's skull cancer is growing back after debt-inducing surgery to remove it a few months ago. But I also have a stomach disease and can't eat any of that delicious stuff, so no package for me. It will make someone happy, though, and is a very sweet thing for you to offer!

I've never seen these before - could someone please explain to me what they are? ...They look like stickers, but I'm wondering how they are applied. Also, does a box of these only do one set of nails, or are there multiple uses per box?

I lost an ovary to a cyst as well. Mine ruptured. The little stabby pains are a tell-tale sign that I have another cyst on my remaining ovary (I keep getting them over and over). The pain tends to be much worse around the beginning of shark week. I tend to have normal timed (but sometimes very painful/heavy) periods even when I have a cyst.

If you only get one or two cysts at a time, you don't necessarily have PCOS. Unfortunately, the normal treatment for functional cysts (of reasonable size, like under 7 cm) is watchful waiting since most of them shrink away on their own (some in a month, some in more like 6 months). I've had shit-tons of unexplained nausea and keep meds on-hand for it.

When my cyst was ruptured (by sex, so you'd be smart to avoid penetration until you get that ultrasound) and my ovary had to be removed, I KNEW something inside of me had busted open. If you have internal bleeding, you will KNOW that you need to go to the ER. I think that as long as you are not in serious pain, you should be fine until your ultrasound, then you can make a plan when you have more facts (whether or not you have PCOS and what kind of cyst you have, if you have one).

Good luck.

Another vote for the red here. I think the dark hair made you look a bit... um, pasty, while the red really brought out the warm colors in your complexion and lips. RED!

I'd rather they make me cry with something as beautiful and unique as Up than be served with something largely unoriginal or uninspiring.

I have a degree in animation, and my first reaction was exactly your #1 - "This looks like a Dreamworks, not a Pixar." Dreamworks has had a few great works (here's looking at you, Kung Fu Panda) but they just aren't up to snuff with Pixar yet. I really hope this (on the heels of Cars 2) doesn't mean that Pixar is running out of original ideas and the ability to create truly inspiring visuals.

DAE hate the word "hubby?" by AbusingVitaminKin TwoXChromosomes

I am so absolutely with you on this. The other words mentioned here don't really bother me (but I also don't use them) but "hubby" puts my panties in a serious twist. I think it might be due to the kind of girls I first heard the term from personally (trashy extended family).

Most of the women I know (in U.S. also) will answer questions about menstruation honestly if asked a sincere question about it. If you unfortunately do not know women like that, no one is keeping you from going to your nearest public library and educating yourself.

Could you spot your REAL shape? We use computer wizardry and a photo test that will fascinate every woman who worries she’s fat by Hypocratusin women

[–]LibraryKrystal 10 points11 points ago

I was hoping for more than 4 test subjects - this doesn't really tell us much since one woman picked a slimmed-down photo, 2 picked slightly larger figures, and one was correct. I would very much like to see this test done on a far larger scale and with plenty of data attached (like cultural background, age, and whether or not they are Photoshop users themselves).

Person at Fertilization has failed in Mississippi! by eternalkerriin TwoXChromosomes

[–]LibraryKrystal 1 point2 points ago

I doubt it too. I went to public school in Mississippi from age 10 to 16 (then got GED and GTFO) and got ZERO sex ed. Zero. At the time, that county had the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country (even my middle school had several pregnant girls).

To most in Mississippi (from what I witnessed during my time there), instilling religion comes before teaching biology. That often means that if you get pregnant, you screwed up but that must be god's "plan" for you. You are then generally expected to pray for answers instead of getting them through education and medical professionals.

I'm very lucky I'd been given a very basic sex ed in Minnesota in grade 4 that made me aware of the need for more knowledge as my body developed. I fear what would have become of me had I been in that Mississippi town from the get-go.

I'm worried I'm pregnant (expired birth control). Advice? by tw6535123in TwoXChromosomes

I had a single shot of depo and it ruined my life for 10 months (and gave me severe GERD that hasn't improved in the nearly 2 years it's been since I got the shot). This obviously doesn't happen to everyone, but please do your own VERY THOROUGH research before getting the shot, since you can't undo it.

I bled for months at a time, had serious anger problems out of the blue, dry eyes (couldn't wear contacts), nose bleeds, constant nausea (had to be on meds to be able to eat), headaches, acne, hair thinning, weight gain, odd abdominal pains... I was a monster and a complete wreck and even had to quit my job.

The NP who gave me the shot insisted that Depo was completely safe and specifically told me that none of the things I'd experienced with pills (nausea, hair loss, acne, headaches) were possible on Depo... that it was different and couldn't cause those things. Now I know she was a clueless liar. Nobody told me that it relaxes soft tissue which can result in permanent acid reflux. I guess my point is... continue to do your own research and don't rely wholly on medical professionals who are given gifts and vacations by big drug companies.
