Great series. One note - when you get to the part in the seventh book where the author literally stops the story to tell you, as the reader, that you should probably not finish the story - TAKE HIS ADVICE. The ending ruins a perfectly good series.

My BIOS doesn't have one. My laptop was bought from Lenovo and not constructed, so it comes with pre-loaded software - unfortunately, no disk checking stuff. I'm running Windows Checkdisk.

Ok, I had over 52,000 events in there. I filtered it to just show Critical, Error, and Warning. Showed 1,916. Filtered it down to show last 30 days - down to 212. That sounds like a shitload.

As far as "Disk" specific events, there are 6, all from 12/1/2011. Same message for all 6 - "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR4."

There's a whole giant pile of "Service Control Manager" errors, though.

I actually already have one for my hair. I must not be using it properly on my face, though. Face skin is stretchier than scalp skin, so I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to "catch" the hairs. Any strategies?
