Reddit, what is the most powerful image you have ever seen? by tokerjoker11in AskReddit

[–]Lambsauce 5 points6 points ago

Shut the fuck up. Just shut up. I'm a woman, I was raped once, do I think men are evil? No. Men are not animals any more than women are animals. And no, gang rape is not "ordinary." And people like you who generalize like that make me sick.

Replace the word "men" in your comment with "black people." You sound like a racist pig, don't you? Yeah.

Canada reporting in, I had multiple choice tests in nearly all my classes first and second years of university, and a couple in third year.

When a first-year biology class has 1400 people in it, the professor usually prefers having a machine do the grading.

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7in AskReddit

I'm an erotica author, and PayPal has my distributors by the balls (except, of course, Amazon). PayPal is also extremely puritanical. A few months ago they blew up this shitstorm over selling THE EVIL PORNS, resulting in one of my distributors pulling the plug on all its indie authors, great swooping content bans, and repeated kicks to the wallet.

Oh, and they blamed all this on the credit card companies who were "forcing" them to do that. Except Visa and MasterCard both released statements saying they had nothing to do with it. Woopsie!

"Ribbed for her pleasure! :D" is one of the biggest lies in the condom industry.

How Canadians are viewed in Japan... Not far off... by SpottedMein canada

[–]Lambsauce 32 points33 points ago

A few days ago, someone on reddit posted a comic of his adventures as a teacher in Japan... one of the observations he made was that in kids' books, Japanese people always look happy and friendly whilst white people look downright evil. This picture was provided as an example, too. I wish I could find it again :(

Oh neat, I didn't know you could do that. It'd be nice if that could stop some of the comments.

Today I witnessed a young man get rejected by his parents in public for being gay. What's the saddest thing you've witnessed happen to someone else in public? by Pixshelin AskReddit

I wouldn't confront her, personally. More likely than not it'd just lead to more beatings for the kid "embarrassing her". Police involvement is really the only chance of changing the situation.

I give people random tags based on a single comment of theirs all the damn time and completely forget why within the hour. (I don't inform people when I'm tagging them, though. I could be tagging you right now and you'll never know!)

I've been that girl, and my humiliation wasn't even as public. I keep my singing to the shower now.

Michael Rafferty found guilty by HabsJDin canada

[–]Lambsauce 1 point2 points ago

I'm not saying there were no signs at all, just that there probably weren't any that the community would pick up on. Admittedly I don't know a ton about the case but I'm guessing she didn't go around advertising that.

Also, that's extremely fucked up and I feel a little sick now

How -in a small town -did these people not stand out like sore thumbs/become pariahs?

Likely there was nothing outwardly strange about them. McClintic had a long history of criminal activity, so she might have been a little "weird," but you hear stories all the time about serial killers who seemed perfectly normal, even charming, to the community.

What were belly buttons like before humans knew to cut and tie off the umbilical cord? by JewbagXin askscience

[–]Lambsauce 4 points5 points ago

I don't believe there are nerves in the umbilical cord, so there wouldn't be any pain.

The placenta is derived from embryonic tissue, and the cord forms before nervous system development, IIRC - I may be wrong here, but there definitely are no nerves in there.
