A question concerning FAL's. by LB_Stitchin guns

[–]LB_Stitch[S] 0 points1 point ago

Hey man. I really appreciate the help. I looked through gunbroker but I must have missed those. I hadn't heard of the salbo fal's. Any idea of what kind of accuracy they're capable of?

I can't see anything made by General Dynamics and not read it first as 'Global Dynamics'. I am consistently disappointed by whatever product it is I'm reading About after that.

Up next: "German Luftwaffle chain to offer waffles, overwhelming air superiority." That headline alone was worth visiting this link for.

I've got more 9mm than I know what to do with. $11.99/box for fifty Remington UMC. Little high if you ask me.

Becoming the Archetype and Demon Hunter are both worth a listen if you enjoy heavier, darker rock at all.

I was completely convinced that thunder was caused by clouds running into each other. Said it out loud in class in third or fourth grade and quickly learned that this was not the case.

It may very well be that a person's economic and social situation contributes to their decision to commit a robbery (or other crime), but to say that also sort of makes it seem like the decision to commit the crime wasn't entirely their fault. And that seems a little silly to me.

I agree with you in the sense that there are problems that we can address to make crime less appealing to those who might resort to it as a means of improving their quality of life. And no, more firearms doesn't garuntee a thing. But the simple fact is that you can't expect anyone but the perpetrator of the crime to take responsibility for it. Poverty exists in every type of economic system in existence. There is a fine line between saying, "Screw the poor, their problems are their problems," and, "The actions this person took are a result of our (the rest of society) actions," and I'm trying really hard to walk it.

Tl;dr: It isn't anyone's fault that others commit crimes, but there are certainly things the rest of the country can do to help.

That's really cool. That's what I love about older firearms. Yeah, a brand new AR is pretty spiffy and a WHOLE lot of fun, but it lacks that almost mysterious quality some vintage weapons have.

Alllllright. Home from work. The serial number is 846XXX. I did a little digging just now and don't see any references to a production run starting with those three numbers. Thoughts?

EDIT: It looks like 839XXX Began in 1935, and 848XXX in 1936. So, somewhere in between '35 and '36.

Not yet, but I'm very anxious to research the serial number. I just got to work, but I'll get the serial number up here when I get home.

And the crate may have been secure. And it may not have been. I truly don't know, hence my above post. I'm more than willing to admit when I'm wrong or have reacted poorly.
