Nope, thorough bred Aussie here. I don't shy from how history has played out. Even if people think America is pretty shitty because it's legislative assembly.

Also. No we didnt do most of the fighting. The Americans did, and they should have more of a share of that credit than they are owned. They are pretty much the ones who defeated the Japanese (of course along with everybody else, especially China)

Sorry yes, the ANZUS is a security pact. Very close though, but still the credit goes to the Americans for saving Australia. There's no way we could of fought off the Japanese.

Good point. However after Mao, Deng Xiaoping tried rid China of such things as the cultural revolution.

I wouldn't say China is direct against America, I would say on matters such as Taiwan, they are annoyed because they believe America shouldn't be interfering with what they see as internal affairs.

Keep in mind if it weren't for the US we'd be under Japanese rule by now. Also while Britian is the de facto protector of Australia. It the US that has signed official treaties for mutual protection. Australia has made an 'insurance policy' by fighting along side America.

The US is infinitely more obliged to protect us than the UK

I wouldn't be too quick to jump the gun on this one. While Australia continues to be cultural western. Chinas economy, military and soft power is increasing. Where America's while still superior is starting to decline.

China is ever increasing its diplomatic ties with the world. While America labels certain states as rouge.
