A lot of game companies are terrible for workers. They use the idea that you have the "best job in the world" to make their employees work deathmarch hours if they want to appear in the credits.

Ron Paul quietly amassing an army of delegates by vlcodin politics

[–]JPorpoise 0 points1 point ago

Because naturally Ron Paul supporters just took the headline title as a fact without checking to see that he does not, in fact, have an army of delegates, or even really a small battalion: http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/primaries/delegates

[–]JPorpoise 6 points7 points ago

Yeah I bet the guy with significantly less delegates than Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney will totally become the nominee of a party diametrically opposed to half his positions! Ron Paul can win this you guys! He's got it in the bag!

Probably Jill Stein (Green Party) or Stewart Alexander (Socialist Party).

Because people who aren't interested in any Republican candidate might not be interested in the Democratic nominee either?

Ron Paul supporters often assume if you are a leftist and don't support Paul then you must support Obama, as if the American Democrat party was as far left as someone could possibly go instead of being basically center-right.

The Green Party doesn't accept corporate donations at all, something to consider for people (presumably many current Paul supporters) who aren't so much concerned with immediately winning the presidency so much as getting certain ideals into the mainstream.

Ron Paul Wins Delayed Hancock County Caucus in Maine by AdminPasswordin politics

You obviously don't understand that Ron Paul has already lost and your efforts would be much better spent on other 3rd party candidates with less nightmarish baggage.

How many more states does Ron Paul have to lose before his supporters realize you don't become president by only going to caucus states?

End the Fed! End even the vaguest idea of public accountability over the money supply and just give it directly to private banks! What a great idea!

No I think 45,000 dead people per year is pretty well worth debate, along with the crushing debt of those who actually get treated.

Ron Paul: TSA is a “bureaucratic monster” that “undermines our liberties” and “doesn’t make us safe” by ModsAreKillingRedditin politics

[–]JPorpoise -35 points-34 points ago

It's nice that he thinks that (even a stopped clock is right twice a day), but even in the impossible scenario of Ron Paul being president, he couldn't do anything about the TSA.

What now for Ron Paul after finishing last in South Carolina? Ron Paul has yet to win a Republican primary or caucus. But his aim is to steadily gain delegates, building a movement and perhaps getting recognition at his party's nominating convention. by davidreiss666in politics

[–]JPorpoise 0 points1 point ago

The "Gingrich not on the ballots" thing is a misleading, dumb meme. He's missing Virginia and the rest are CAUCUS states with no ballots for him not to be on. Seriously, if Ron Paul supporters are going to back a candidate who won't win, why not make it Green Party or American Socialist or any other party with all the anti-imperialism stances they like and none of the free market nightmare bullshit?

The Republican Candidates and Marijuana (from norml.org) by TyluhSin Marijuana

[–]JPorpoise 0 points1 point ago

Maybe you, specifically, didn't say Ron Paul should be president, but it was transparently the point of the link, which is what I was addressing. I'm not saying ending the federal war on drugs isn't something we should do (it obviously is), I'm just trying to tie in the larger points here that 1. Despite being one theoretical path down the road to legalization, it is by no means equivalent to legalization, and 2. A candidates support for it is not such an amazing and incredible positive that one should ignore incredibly poor and destructive policy positions.
