In my opinion, Buffon and Julio Cesar used to be great, Julio's time has passed and Buffon can thank his defense for the undefeated record. He's made mistakes this season and past seasons.

When was the last time Casillas made a mistake? And how many saves has he made which resulted in the team winning? He's certainly been the best the past 4 years.

Before 2008, then sure, Buffon would probably be the #1 in the world.

You really believe Cech, Lloris and Neuer are better than Casillas? No problem if you do though, we're all entitled to opinions..

Iker won the World cup for Spain, the Euro cup for Spain, and has been one of Real Madrid's best and most consistent players since 2001-02.

It's not like his form is dropping, infact he'll probably be the most capped Real Madrid player if he remains at Real Madrid for the rest of his career.

And he may even play a big part for Spain this year too.
