Flashing headlights to warn of speed trap protected by the First Amendment: judge by salchichasyquesoin news

[–]Gustomaximus 1 point2 points ago

I heard a story of 2 kids that got into trouble for something similar. The first kid that walked up the road from a police trap and held up a sign warning people about the afore mentioned speed trap. The second was a bit behind the speed trap with a sign asking for a thank-you tip.

Perhaps a wives tale but I liked the initiative it showed.

Senate proposes "Ex-Patriot Act" imposing a 30% tax on those who renounce citizenship by TheResPublicain TrueReddit

[–]Gustomaximus 0 points1 point ago

It's actually a big difference. Many countries consider you as a non-resident, and don't tax your overseas earning, if you spend the majority of the year outside their territory. But you are still free to come and go for a decent part of the year. And the move can be temporary and repeated many times through your life.

According to the journal of renowned scientist Dr Pringle and his experiments, once you pop you cant stop. So this would support your hypothesis of a personal explosion.

Researchers report that low percentage of lefties is a result of the balance between cooperation and competition in human evolution by nanomatusin science

[–]Gustomaximus 0 points1 point ago

I don't see any valid arguments for their logic. E.g. "If societies were entirely cooperative everyone would be same-handed" and they site sharing tools as a reason. Firstly I would guess much of this evolution could have happened before tools were sophisticated to be hand specific (insert left handed screwdriver joke here). Secondly I see many situations co-operation could be aided by having different hand preference. For example going back to tools if a group was fighting as a unit it would be best to have left handed people on the left side and right handed peeps on the right side.

And the model doesn't make sense to me without more detail. They say number of left table tennis players is high as this is "competition" yet in golf of is low because of "co-operation"... I wonder if like they are making variables within the model to meet an answer...
