Stage 3 lung cancer + pain in body/bones + Eastern medicine? by woebtzin cancer

[–]GrrrArggg 0 points1 point ago

We use a modified Gerson Diet. As for Reiki, you may be able to find someone in your area that practices. Not all people are into this sort of thing. It helps to keep my mother positive and she feels as if it's working so that's all that matters to me. As for the Gerson Therapy, my mother has not been able to undergo the entire treatment because she receives chemo therefore she has to forgo the coffee enemas. However I do prepare the juices for her. It's really labor intensive but you do what you can and any positive change in diet can really improve the situation. Find a few good oncologists and get second or even third options but she should really begin treatment sooner rather than later because the progression of cancer is swift, it does not wait and neither should your mom.

My mom has stage 4 breast cancer (mets to lung, bone and liver). She was diagnosed in 2005 and has been battling breast cancer ever since. I can tell you that her markers have always gone down and stayed down when we used a combo of Eastern (Reiki and restricted diet) and Western medicine (chemo). She also suffered from plural effusion and it was the chemo and a tube that was put in to drain the fluid that put a stop to that. You should really think of an integrative approach to your mother's therapy and not just one or the other. And please, please get several opinions from specialists. Do not rely on a surgeon or GP to guide your mom's treatment. Why isn't your mom expecting to survive? Tell her to fight! Make her fight. You really have to fight to live when it comes to this disease. If she feels pain in her bones it could be because the cancer is leaching calcium from the bone causing small fractures. She can get a monthly medication for that and a small dose of pain killer. My mom went through that last year. Make her understand that she has to fight.

I'm visiting London for a few days and would love to have someone to club with Sunday 11/2/12. Please let me know if you find something cool and maybe we can meet up.
