The DuB is like that gas station in the desert that says "this is your last chance to get fuel", but change "get fuel" to "pick up"

I disagree for many reasons. First, originally Aboriginal society wasn't one, but over 100 different societies. Each with it's own religion, language, and lifestyles. That means, unless you've actually done you're homework on every different culture, you are not qualified to make that statement.

Second, there are many great examples of how rich and resourceful different Aboriginal cultures were (that would put them on par with the Naiv). Like, how they use to train Killer whales to herd blue whales into shallow waters so they could spear them. That takes a lot of effort, much more than plugging a pony-tail into a blow-hole.

Or like the way Some Aboriginal cultures use to write (or draw, or present, or lay out) in order of East to West. That take a level of awareness of the world around you that just doesn't exist today (besides , maybe amongst the handful of Bear Gryls's of the world)

The point of Avatar isn't just "boo white people suck, natives rock", but by the methods we live by and the methods we erase from history we (as in everyone) are loosing really cool ways to exist.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a single down vote on a lot of post and comments on r/brisbane, even if the comment is a compliment, or the post is neutral by nature? Either way I imagine the redditor is this guy

My late Grandma use to feed the local magpies. It got to the point that they would come when called, and even come inside her house when invited. Thanks for the nostalgia!
