javascript:for(i = 0; i < 10; i++)setInterval(function(){throwCard(Math.floor(Math.random()*document.body.clientWidth), Math.floor(Math.random()*document.body.clientHeight))},1);

Alternately, it works just as well to write it with code formatting: no escaping necessary.

MKSE is basically a mix of economics, computer science, and social networks. As it follows, MKSE majors are required to take economics, computer science courses, and MKSE-specific courses.

To illustrate what the major is about, these are the courses:

  • MKSE 112: Networked life (the intro class and what social networks are all about)
  • MKSE 150: Market and Social Systems on the Internet (how stuff like Google PageRank and Facebook work)
  • MKSE 212: Scalable and Cloud Computing (how to build stuff to run in the cloud (e.g. EC2))
  • MKSE 312: Theory of Networks (the study of networks, such as social networks, financial networks, etc.)
  • MKSE 412: Algorithmic Game Theory (economics + game theory from a computer science point of view, and its applications)

In a way, some of it does relate to Systems Engineering.

How I expect to feel after a nap... by charliem251in funny

You don't necessarily need to actually fall asleep. In fact, you're not supposed to actually fall asleep. What I find that works is to lay in my bed with my eyes closed and relax for 20-30 minutes, and then have my alarm more or less wake me up. Of course, having some caffeine beforehand (e.g. a cup of tea or coffee) helps a lot.

Where do you look for jobs? We're hiring and aren't getting good resumes by tellme__in cscareerquestions

Maybe try Hacker News? Admittedly, the crowd there is more geared toward startups and software companies as opposed to manufacturing firms looking for developers, but I think it's worth a shot.

Any Android devs making this same mistake? by monkeyinmysoupin androiddev

What was the rationale behind that API decision anyway? Did the engineers design it so that you could cache Toast messages? Does it take that much CPU/memory to construct a new Toast with makeText()?

It's perfectly okay to have a paid app that's open source. You can sell the apk binaries for a price and still host the source on Google Code without conflict. The concept of free (as in freedom) and open-source and the concept of getting software for free (as in gratis) or not are separate. It's not unheard of for an entity to sell binaries for software that is open source.

I am a student at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Science and Technology Wing at my school. We recently considered inviting you to speak as part of our Speaker Series that STWing does every year, but the cost was too prohibitive. Do you have suggestions for any other interesting speakers that we could invite?

I got mine for $30 during the past year's holiday sales. It's a fairly decent mouse, and, as a very casual gamer, I feel spoiled by it. That said, though, I don't think it's worth the $80 to get it. Either wait for a good discount, or find another one.

There's speculation that BN let in more orders than there were in stock so they could get more exposure for their Nook Color. Scumbags...

(Then again, it seems that any online store could get free exposure by just saying that they have the $99 tablet...)
