Maybe I should explain. The Remington Model 8 has a recoil action very similar to the Browning Auto-5's. The large barrel that you're seeing is really a sheath that encases the real barrel, which moves backwards during recoil, simultaneously resetting the bolt, extracting the casing, and chambering a new round. Genius.

You will never meet John Moses Browning.
