Suggestions for a good jig rod? by puppygutsin bassfishing

[–]FartsMontgomeryIII 1 point2 points ago

Hey man, I've been using an Abu Garcia 7'6'' medium heavy for throwing jigs. It's great for flipping and getting a little more power behind your skips. It's also got a wicked tapper, so it's very sensitive. Hope that helps.

Serious Bro. You mad?

Totally null example. Coleman and powerlifts do that because of loading. Yates utilizes a number of grips in his row routine. The reason they do that is because they are of advanced training age.

Those with young training age definitely will benefit from jumps shrugs. Also, you should keep reading in the post. I feel like you're mad, Bro.

Nope. I live in reality and this is just too much fun to shut up. People like you are fun for people like me. And anyways, back to my main point. I not only used jump shrugs to learn proper form, but used them to get over my major hurdles like 305, 355, and 405! Good luck to you though OP!

Also, if the person is serious about getting her form right, she won't listen to a guys whose tag is its4thecatlol or FartMontgomeryIII. She'll either ask a trainer at her local gym or possibly even seek out a local coach for training.

I mean, in reality, none of this matters. Reddit is like "Whose Line is it Anyways?" The points are made up and the rules don't make sense.

Nah man. Not banned, actually encouraged. Generally though, when you write you opinion, it's best to phrase it as such and not make it appear to be so absolute. Then you just sounds like a jerk. Also, try not to put other people's down. Then you really sound unpleasant.

If the force feels like your arms are being ripped out of your sockets with one plate, you're either doing it wrong or should drop back on the loading. But hey, everyone's a trainer on Reddit.

Also, if your dropping the weights at all, you're doing it wrong. If your doing a clean pull, then sure.

But those points aside, what I'm saying is engage your hips more. Leave the arms and traps out of the lift. And really try not to bounce the bar off your thighs with just learning how to do the form. It'll screw you up when you increase your loading.

I've been working my clean form for the past 6 years, and I still don't have it down perfect.

For my first year of training, I performed what is called a jump shrug. You take the bar from the ground as you would a power clean, and in one motion, stand a jump as high as you can while keeping your arms locked. Allow your shoulders to relax.

Once you get that down, you will be able to let the bar travel naturally and be able to catch it better. Bouncing the bar off of your hips and pulling hard through the bicepts and traps is great for high loading, but not good to learn as a beginner.

Extreme light headedness and sharp pain in head by joshqueens2in Iron

Hey Man, I don't mean to disagree with the guy below, but from personal experience, that may be what's called a lifting migraine. For me, it happens with heavy deadlift sets. In short, it's when you push so hard that it causes the blood vessels to your head to close really tight and gives you a wopping headache. I also feel dizzy and sick to my stomach.

It is a problem that can come back frequently. When it first happened to me really badly, my strength coach told me to take a full week off and ease into it. We then looked at my breathing and set structure to better accomodate to my needs. Hope this helps!

Looking to spend about $100-$150 on a rod/reel combo. Suggestions? by Knetikin bassfishing

[–]FartsMontgomeryIII 3 points4 points ago

Hey man, So looking at the fish your getting, you may want to stay with spinning action. It'll be tough for a baitcaster to toss some of the lighter stuff for bluegill fishing. That being said, here is my tourney spinning set up.

I agree that I would switch to 20 lb braid. Give it a go!

Anyone interested in sharing their prs? by SamsLamesin Iron

Alright, this may be a good place to pop the question.

I'm 6'5'' 260 at 21. Three years ago, when I entered college, I weighed 160. I gained about 100 pounds over the past few years to throw the hammer for my schools track team.

I've only lifted as an accessory to throwing but am maxing BP 350, Squat 375, and DL 485. Is it worth continuing after college, or should I slim down again?

So I totally ripped my underwear at the bottom of a squat rep today. by Drutoniumin powerlifting

[–]FartsMontgomeryIII 18 points19 points ago

Amateurs, please. Three weeks ago, I was maxing out my front squat. I felt a little bubble in my guy, so I farted in an effort to release it. It was clearly audable, cuz everyone around me stared. I didn't care. It was max day and I had my headphones in.

I pull up to the bar, chalk up, wrap up, snort a little salt, then lift the bar from the rack. Felt heavy today, but I didn't care again. It was max day.

Got the hip break then a little knee break and started to go down. I also started to release gas. A lot of it. But I thought it was still ok. It was max day.

I pass parallel and hit the bottom. As I tried to work the bar bounce into the squat, I felt an impossible release from my lower colon and a tremendously warm sensation in my compressions. When I activated my glutes, it was confirmed. I had just shit myself.

On my way up, I began to feel a cooling sensation down my legs, dripping deep into my socks. I was fighting to get the squat up now. Fighting and sweating. I closed my eyes and hoped for the best. But before I did, I saw a trainer running for me out of the corner of my eyes, presumably to spot me.

Next thing I know, we were both on the ground with the bar on top of him. Turns out, he ran up to me, slipped in a pile of my liquid dump, kicked my legs out from under me, and ended up with me, the bar, and my feces all over him.

It was max day.
