I'm sure this has been asked, but I'm looking for breast pump recommendations. by cleverinspiringnamein breastfeeding

You can buy used for a fraction of the price. I got mine for $125. I bought new tubing then sterilized the rest of it in boiling water.

If I were to donate a kidney, could I get it back if they died? by Dulcinea80in askscience

Thanks for replying. =D

If I were to donate a kidney, could I get it back if they died? by Dulcinea80in askscience

[–]Dulcinea80[S] 0 points1 point ago

Why wouldn't they do it? If my mom had kidney troubles, my risk of kidney problems would likely be higher and having a spare would be nice. Also, and this is probably a dumb question, but would I need anti-rejection drugs after the re-transplantation?

What obsolete (or near obsolete) technology do you still use? by DamienMaxwellin AskReddit

Not me, but I saw a man jogging with a discman yesterday.

What to do by LovelyWeatherin needadvice

[–]Dulcinea80 2 points3 points ago

You could start drinking and doing drugs! Just throwing that out there. lol There's lots of things to do. Go for a walk, go to the gym, join a club, play a sport, join a band, volunteer, get a part time job etc. Call or visit your friends. You don't need a particular reason, wanting to see how they are doing and catch up is enough.

Natural birth stories - how often did they go the way you planned? by eatthemeek22in BabyBumps

[–]Dulcinea80 8 points9 points ago

I wouldn't get your heart set on a natural birth. Lots of things can happen that require some kind of intervention. My baby was breech and I ended up needing a c-section. By all means hope and plan for a natural birth, but be prepared to change those plans if you have to. Safely delivering a healthy baby should be the number one item in your birth plan.

Georgia state senators walk out to protest ‘war on women’ by davidreiss666in women

I'm so glad I don't live in the states. I don't understand why there is not massive protesting going on down there.

I love people not sitting next to me on the bus, but I'm also somewhat insulted by it. Reddit, what self-contradictions do you admit to? by Garaceshin AskReddit

I'm like this. I always think I'm bothering people when I phone or IM them but I'll talk for hours if they start the conversation.

Bill Hicks vs. Santorum by ripsnortingsin atheism

[–]Dulcinea80 4 points5 points ago

The fact that most people here don't seem to know who Bill Hicks was is a tragedy.

I've been all through Northern Indiana. I know how the Amish really are. by Tarkaanin atheism

[–]Dulcinea80 3 points4 points ago

My boss lives beside a large family of Amish. They're at her house almost daily using her telephone but can't have their own. It's such a cock of shit. I'm sure god didn't put all these rules in place so that they could become moochers.

Is it OK to eat less the last 10 weeks of pregnancy? by confused123456in BabyBumps

[–]Dulcinea80 0 points1 point ago

That's very normal in the last weeks of pregnancy. The baby is pushing everything up so you have less room for food. Just do your best. Hopefully you have some fat stores to help out.

I think I legitimately have poor memory, and it's starting to scare me. Early onset Alzheimer's? by MercurialMadnessManin needadvice

[–]Dulcinea80 0 points1 point ago

Having a shitty memory isn't all bad. I read the most HORRIBLE thing on Reddit yesterday, like, make me cry and sick to my stomach awful, but I'm pretty sure I'll completely forget about it in a few days.

I could hear the x-ray tech scream from the other room... by yumyumroarin WTF

[–]Dulcinea80 1 point2 points ago

My friends little sister played rugby for a year. She had to quit after a leg injury that was so bad it left her thigh permanently black and blue. I didn't even think that could happen but it's been about 5 years since she did it and the bruising still hasn't gone away.
