The problem here is the visual of the Klan poster. There is nothing wrong with the front page story but by making the largest visual the poster it leaves the impression that this is an event local residents should consider attending. Many more people will see the paper rather than reading it and the visual will be judged on its content without the benefit of the story.

You're right it may not prove conclusively a link but we are certainly closer to proof that we were before this study. A couple of more studies like this and there would possibly be enough proof to overturn Buckley v. Valeo and Citizens United, both Supreme Court rulings that equate money and speech

Prior to this breeding season, there have been 100 nesting attempts in the wild since 2001, and there are presently 29 wild-fledged birds in California, 2 in Baja California, and 14 in Arizona.
