But to take heed with an off-topic issue: I for one have been very impressed by Al Jazeera's reports on Australian happenings. Their story about the mining boom in WA and particularly their story about Gladstone Harbour have been fantastically produced.

Every bit as good as any Four Corners or 7:30 report. They do some great stuff.

Well, SBW being so tall and strong had much to do with the "lifting" of the tackle. Not that there was anything in the tackle anyway. There was no lifting as such but more of a tripping because SBW was so upright.

It would have been a disgrace had he been sent off. And look what happened afterward - we watched one of the greatest games of the year!

A good, worthy result. I would speculate the touchie regretted his decision initially and just faked not getting the number.

Let's not do the "burden of proof" quickdraw here. You have no science to back on your claims - so why should it be down to me who has to trawl through journals to prove something I know to be correct?

Again, check out my original comment, which I linked to in my previous post. Plenty of other accounts of the same thing. Exactly the same. Eating hash = gets you high. As for your experience I cannot speculate why - perhaps it wasn't good hash? Try again, I guarantee you it works. And again, why the hell would I - and many, many others - lie about this?

You can say that anything is a placebo - how is that a good argument? It seems to me that the only people who call bullshit on this haven't done it before.

The thing is, you are flat out wrong. Hash will make you stoned if you eat it. It's as simple as that. Try it sometime. Try it and you will not be disappointed. I'm not saying it's an efficient way to use your hash, all I am saying is it can be done.

I've popped some links in my original comment of people who have had the same experience. On those forums the same circlejerk applies: those who have never eaten hash claim that the ones who have are full of shit.

It most certainly wasn't a placebo. Both times it definitely worked. I don't know the reasons why it got me high. All I am saying is that I ate some hash and got high.

Though I did a bit of searching and found this entry on Erowid among others, of a similar experience.

On two non-consecutive occasions I have eaten hash for one reason or another. The first was a desperate action because I had forgotten to get rid of the stuff before going through airport security and the second was not so urgent but rather an effort to repeat the successes of the first.

Telling me I am a liar is bad enough, but downvoting so viciously after I politely inquired in such a genial manner is even worse. This is an event that actually happened. I got incredibly stoned. What else can I say?

That's strange, I've eaten hash on numerous occasions and have become utterly stoned from it. I would politely query your reasoning.

And hash isn't heat treated from what I've seen - it's just beaten from the plant and then compressed into blocks. How would that be different from eating a few buds?

"Activating" thc is bullshit, the reason people heat it in butter is to facilitate the thc being absorbed into the fat in the butter so it is able to be used by your body. If you eat weed raw you normally don't get effects because of all the plant material, it takes long to get the thc out, but if it's in fat, it's readily available to your body. Hash doesn't have plant material. Well, good hash doesn't.

Coming from a society that does have a good universal healthcare system, in my opinion, yes, you do deserve free healthcare and it doesn't all come from rich people - everyone pays a levy except the very, very poor.

We also have private insurance which provides better service than state cover. However, below that, you are assured of good clinical care if you get sick. You have no fear of financial ruin.

This is not an ideological debate. This is simple human decency.
