My dad had the same reaction then again, I'm mostly an atheist because of him. He always said, "religion solamente existe para mantener la gente docil" (religion only exists to keep people docile). For Christmas (hey, mexican christmas is awesome) I hunted down a spanish copy of The God Delusion. He loves it. I've yet to read it myself because I want to hear what he has to say about it since I respect his opinion a great deal.

Would I save money if I bought secondhand clothes and tailor them for myself? I began noticing that there were a lot of name brand, expensive-when-new clothing at the local thrift store but they are never my size, If I were to tailor them would I save money?

Nope, not terrible at all. There shouldn't be some sort of marriage-worthy skills scoreboard. I cook because it's what I've always done. I cook for my girlfriend because being in her company makes the meal exponentially better. I do it out of love. I'm sure your boyfriend feels the same.

My girlfriend is also a mechanic. She does all the work on my car (I don't know shit about cars). People are always surprised when I tell them about her. We constantly say we're like puzzle pieces; she works on our cars and I cook. Es rad. Oh, and to top it all off, she's gorgeous. I'm the luckiest son-of-a-bitch alive.
