Maybe just out of university, or within a year of graduating. Doesn't matter how much you get paid though man, sometimes something just sucks.

I passed all the test this past year, and am just finishing my work experience to get the CA. I hate my life. Especially this time of the year...

I dunno, the point of all the time travel episodes of Futurama and Bender's Big Score was that the Future is unchanging. That all the times Fry and Nibbler went back in time were actually necessary and already included in what made the future.

Basically in Futurama, time is cyclical, not linear.

I actually liked Bender's Big Score the most because the character interaction and the ridiculous scenario just "fit" the feeling of the show the most in my opinion. I really liked all the episodes that dealt with the various time travels of Fry and how every time the "real" Fry was unaware of the alternate Fry's.

Leela's collar (in Bender's Game) was a close second though :P.

This actually didn't happen in the new "season," it happened in the first movie, Bender's Big Score. I actually thought this was my favourite of the movies.

I wasn't a big fan of the last season of Futurama, as it didn't catch the magic of old Futurama, but I loved the movies.

Meh, turns out future Fry traveled back in time, and spent a ton of time with him. Then when Bender went back in time to kill Fry, he quick-fossilized him.

As a result, Seymour never actually had the long-term sadness that was implied in this episode.

One of the reasons why ArPen runes went out of fashion was because of the 10% ArPen mastery, which made ArPen runes less efficent. On the flip side, AP carries have always had that mastery. It was actually better before, when it gave 15% Spell Pen.

Of course, it has always been the case that the Pen runes would not do well past the midgame because AD carries would get last whisperer, while AP carries would get Void staff, making the Pen runes not as beneficial.

So why did AD carries used to still get some ArPen on their rune pages? Because there wasn’t a cheap early-mid item that offered them flat ArPen. Tanky DPS champs had Brutalizer and Ghostblade as a good option, but AD carries for the most part went the standard bloodthirster or IE, zerker boots, PD, LW, which would last into late game.

AP Carries on the other hand would almost always pick up sorc boots, which offer a flat 25 spell pen. Factored in with the spell pen reds, unless the enemy champ specifically builds MR, abilities should deal true damage to squishies in the early-mid game.

The end result? APs don’t benefit as much as ADs when it comes to using flat Spell Pen in the early game. Honestly, the only reason AP carries still use Spell Pen reds is because the alternative AP red is really inefficient.

Reds: 0.59AP, 0.95 Spell Pen. Conversion 1AP:1.61 Spell Pen

Quints: 4.95 AP, 1.89 Spell Pen. Conversion 1AP:0.38 Spell Pen.

So looking at the ratios, AP quints doesn’t sacrifice a lot of Spell Pen, while AP reds would cost a lot more Spell pen. The quints are actually 4 times more efficient on AP/Spell Pen. If the reds converted on AP/Spell Pen in the same ratio as the quints, I honestly would probably remove spell pen for AP.

As it stands right now, the most efficient Quints/Red setup for AP carries is what everyone uses already: AP Quints, Spell Pen Reds.

With your initial setup of AD reds, ArPen Quints, you get: 8.5 AD, 10 ArPen. If you change the setup to 6 ArPen Reds, 3 AD Reds, 3 AD Quints, you get: 9.6 AD, 10 ArPen (1.1 more AD with identical ArPen).

Basically, the reason this happens is because AD quints are more efficient in conversion over ArPen Quints (1 ArPen Quint = 2 ArPen Reds, while 1 AD Quint = 2.4 AD Reds).

As a rule of thumb, if you ever want to get both AD and ArPen on a rune page, you should always fill your AD Quints first, and then use ArPen reds until you reach the desired amount.

Reidan Jungle Kayle Guide by Reidanlolin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 0 points1 point ago

Does Starks do this? I knew that WoTA did that, but I completely did not know that any other aura item had the same interaction. Could I get some verification on this?

Since Aegis and Soul Shroud auras didn't double up the same way, I just assumed that all non-WoTA aura items didn't stack.

If this was the case, I could see a vayne + support stacking starks...

EDIT: nvm, found it: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Starks

The stackable buff aura acts the same way as WoTA, but the debuff armor reduction doesn't stack.

Reidan Jungle Kayle Guide by Reidanlolin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 6 points7 points ago*

According to

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Armor_penetration

the order is:

1.)Percentage armor reduction

2.)Flat armor reduction

3.)Flat armor penetration

4.)Percentage armor penetration

So based on this list, Reidan is correct. Since Kayle's is a % reduction, it is applied first, and then the flat reduction from Black Cleaver is applied, which can result in a negative armor.

EDIT: It should also be noted that it makes no difference whether the pen/reduction is obtained from either runes, masteries, or items. The only thing that matters is whether it's a penetration or reduction. In this way, ArPen reds are applied at the same time as Ghostblade and +6 ArPen masteries, while Black Cleaver procs would be applied before.

How to sleep with a cat. by ebilgeniusin gifs

[–]BlueScythe 1 point2 points ago

I lived with a roommate who had a large golden lab and a cat. I loved the dog to death, and every time I went to work, he would sneak into my room and sleep on my bed (I knew cuz of the fur on my blanket).

Meanwhile, the cat would spend ALL her time with me cuz I showered her with attention (my roommate understandably would give the most attention to the dog). She would usually just get into bed with me when I was going to sleep, and just plop herself into my face. She ended up being my own personal alarm clock, because any time the sun was up, she would get up, and then sit on my stomach until I got up.

Anyways, one day I was feeling REALLY sick, so I called the day off from work. The cat remained on my stomach, while Benny (the dog), walked in, and just got in my bed at 10ish, giving me half the bed. After this, the cat got off my stomach, and moved to my feet. As a result, I just huddled into the corner of the bed, completely crumpled in 1é4th of it. Good times.

Is there a champion when picked in solo queue that makes you cringe? Why? by ConroConroin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 0 points1 point ago

Thing is, if you want to do damage with her, you kind of have to be reliant on her ult. Otherwise your only team fight contribution is a Q. Without setting up for an ult, shunpoing in is a bad idea, so you really do not contribute compared to other AP mids unless you rely on your ult.

Most universal runes? by YUGETBPLUSin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, I'd agree with that. When I started playing, HP quints were all the rage, but move speed is really useful, so I'm probably wrong on HP being the most universal quints.

I didn't think about it before, but I only use it on certain jungle pages now, whereas before I used to run it on a lot of pages.

Then again, I only run MS on two specific pages (jungle Udyr and Singed), running anything between ArPen, flat AP, and flat AD. However, I'm only running ArPen cuz I have attack speed reds, and am too cheap to buy attack speed quints, since the conversion of red:quint in stats is exactly the same for AS as ArPen.

I'd probably say that it's hard to say there's one universal rune for both reds and quints since it's so dependent on the champ you're playing.

Most universal runes? by YUGETBPLUSin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, but most runes really help out the most in the early game. In terms of UNIVERSAL runes, flat hp is usable by all champs. Other quints are really champ specific (i.e. flat AD for AD carries, flat AP for AP carries), whereas flat HP is guaranteed to be useful regardless.

When I saw your "universal runes" title, I interpreted it as one rune for each category that would be the best for all champs in the game.

NESL Playoffs: The official response to what transpired this weekend by ggCMonteCristoin leagueoflegends

[–]BlueScythe 2 points3 points ago

Enforcing a no-stream policy seems quite silly IMO. Considering the small prize pool for these events compared to the playing time of 24 hours for a 5 person team, they might just make more money streaming commentary of the event.

The argument for big tournaments is exposure, but for a smaller event, it`s hard to argue that the exposure outweighs the streaming revenue.
