Honestly, I think trading Staal would be a mistake. Replacing what he brings to the team would be extremely difficult. He is the best two-way forward on the entire team. He is a great penalty killer and is coming into his own as an offensive center. Personally, if he wants to be on a higher line, I would move him to Crosby's wing and solve that wing issue without disrupting the Kunitz-Malkin-Neal line. I also want to point out how Staal always keeps his composure even when Sid & Geno lose their cool (see Game 3...and then never speak of it again). If the Pens can trade Martin for anything to save cap room and just roll with what they have, I think they'll be fine for next season (and they can sign Sid, Geno, and Staal)...

I didn't notice the "A," but I definitely wasn't looking for it so it is quite possible. He definitely deserved it. I'm also an out-of-market fan, so I was watching most games on mediocre internet feeds that don't help view details lol (my cable didn't get NBCS).

I actually agree with you wholeheartedly (also no offense intended anyone, just looking for opinions here). Staal plays great two-way hockey and really showed up this postseason when the other stars did not. Honestly, I would love to see Staal assume some leadership position on this team. I doubt Captain is touchable, but I think he's earned at least an "A."
