This is why I don't watch a lot of TV any more. Even "reality" TV is manipulated to the extreme. by lets_visitin offbeat

When they let the battery run down by 60% before even starting their "test," it isn't scientific, it isn't factual, and it isn't honest. If you don't agree with that, then I don't even know what to say. They've absolutely lied about this.

It's OK, you're still a better franchise than the Vikings and everyone knows it.

This subreddit could do with a lot less worthless comments like yours. Let people share their opinions without you feeling smug about how you're so much better than them for your reading choices, ok?

I wanted to kill myself reading Moby Dick at 23. I just straight up do not like that book.

Stephen King is rarely any good at actually ending a long story.

I agree, I think Stephenson's earlier stuff is tremendous, but his big fat trilogies o' pretentiousness and Isaac Newton or whatever are just not for me.

I played EQ for many years, way way too much of it. EQ was a dickhead, and absolutely revelled in beating the shit out of its players and making corpse retrieval a nightmare. It was super fun though. I just couldn't put up with it now. We are both saying the same things really. :)

No, because they're lovingly provided with socialized medicine in their old age, so they can live to be bastards who hate socialized medicine for many years to come.

Haha, you couldn't be more wrong about this. You think Blizzard doesn't mind when someone copies their intellectual property and then people play it without Blizzard receiving their monthly fees? You are so delusional, it's almost adorable.

The olden days of punishing gamers for playing a game they're paying for (see: Everquest) are long gone and not missed. One reason for WoW's success is that they've made the game that accessible for even casual players. EQ and vanilla WoW expect massive timesinks from players, and even getting a group together could take up a ridiculous amount of time. I haven't played an MMO in a few years now, and probably won't ever do it again due to real life time constraints, but I don't see what benefit there is to having a game require the players to farm Badger Hearts or whatever for hours on end just to have potions to raid content in the vain hope that their Dagger of Plus 800 DPS will drop. I realize they can't just hand gear out for no work, but the olden days were fookin' terrible frankly.

So, you're not going to tip the next person because someone on the Internet gave you shit about being stingy?

I'm also baffled that you apparently can't sympathize with people that need to take minimum wage jobs to make ends meet but I guess you've lived a life of leisure. How nice you can judge someone's entire life based on your short interaction with them when they are working their nighttime delivery job.
