According to PlannedParenthood's website, both the pill and the shot are about 99% effective if used correctly.

Well first of all, just try to remind yourself (when you get down) that you want to be with someone that wants to be with you. I know it's hard, but try not to focus on how much you miss him.

That being said, the best way to get over someone is to keep yourself busy and keep yourself happy. Do all the things you love and hang out wih the people you love. Find some new hobbies (if you have time) and learn some new things. Give it time... you'll feel better eventually. :)

Either way, she's used to being able to somewhat walk all over you. You have to put your foot down or it will continue forever... so either just say "no" when you want to or make up an excuse in the future.

Just as an FYI, many STDs won't show up on a test for about six months. Make sure to get tested again. :) Also, breathe...everyone makes mistakes.

I'm on Trinessa (the generic version of Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) and have had no negative side effects. It's pretty nifty. :) However, different pills (and birth control methods - Implanon, the patch, the Nuvaring, the DepoProvera shot) are going to effect everyone differently.

It's happened to me. My ob/gyn actually gives everyone some feminine hygienge products because (according to him) spotting is normal. He also recommends to not use tampons for about 24 hours (that is, if you're still bleeding) after a cervical exam (just so you know!).

That sounds like a plan. Have you considered going to a different school and then transferring over to your first choice? Perhaps it'd be easier to get in that way (as a transfer rather than "freshman").

It's now morning here, so you're maybe awake, but if it makes you feel any better, I was up literally ALL NIGHT with a combination of "Dear God my fucking cramps hurt" and "Dear God it's fucking hot as balls in this house" syndrome. I ended up going to the basement (for the colder temp) and watching shit tv all night- whoo! On the bright side, I don't have to work today.

I recommend calling him and talking to him about it. I ended my long-term long distance relationship over the phone and it was better than it would have been in person (it still SUCKED and was really hard but it was easier than doing it in person). If you're already sick of this guy and over him, you need to let him know as soon as possible so that he can move on.

You might also want to consider taking pictures of yourself. I've been on a weight loss journey since September and have lost about 35 pounds. I've found that it's a LOT easier to see the difference in weight if you're comparing pictures than by just looking in the mirror. Six pounds may not seem like a lot right now but that's over 1 pound a week...you're doing great, keep it up and join us on /loseit!
