yes but when the whole website is based upon a system of vote distribution, personally noting each vote you give seems a tad redundant and if i may quote you, people that do it are to me, "looking for self validation".

may i have come off a little over-pationate on the topic? yes, but what is an opinion without a little emotion behind it? can i not live in a world where people do that kind of thing? no, but when scrolling through the comments on any given post, i can find at least 20 people saying that kind of thing, see my point?

Lastly, should people stop doing it just because i don't like it? No, that is why i put a question to Ask Reddit, to see reddit's opinion on the matter. Instead, people worried less about the question (and that's fine, just downvote it, don't comment and move along) and more about my motivation behind asking it, interesting. Also, if i believe so, this is not the only instance where redditors have spoken up about certains habits that they have witnessed and (succesfully) called for an end of said habit.
