I've had enough of the soul crushing behavior of my partner. How do I move on, Reddit? by throwaway084058in AskReddit

[–]Bagshaft 0 points1 point ago

You could try contacting your local branch of The Samaritans, they should be able to put you in contact with a local (or not so local) women's refuge, in absolute confidence, as well as being a friendly ear to talk about your problems to.

It's not a permanent fix, but may help you to make the first step towards making a fresh start...

Failing that, if you would like to discuss your problems in greater detail and in absolute privacy, please feel free to pm me. I was a "Sam" for over 8 years.

I hope this helps :)

Should we make a subreddit just for people to complain about diablo 3 server capacity? by Antiwar_armadilloin AskReddit

[–]Bagshaft 0 points1 point ago

No.

That would be like asking people to post pictures of their cats in r/cats. It just wouldn't work.

Do diplomats have two sets of travel papers? by ok_you_winin AskReddit

[–]Bagshaft 1 point2 points ago

I'm not sure if it answers your question, but I used to work with a guy whose father was a diplomatic courier. He used to deliver, by hand, an attaché case of documents to embassies in different parts of the world. (He flew from military airports btw.)

When he arrived at his destination he would be met at the airport by embassy staff, and taken directly to the embassy, no customs, no visas, no searches, no passport stamps, just a passport and ID check. He would also be considered to have diplomatic immunity in whatever country he was in, for the duration of his stay.

If, however he was not there on diplomatic business, he would have to have all the necessary paperwork, visas, etc., just like you or I.

I'm not sure how it would work with an actual diplomat (as opposed to just a courier), but I would imagine that it would work in a similar way.

I did a sponsored walk there, many years ago, a 40 mile circular walk, starting and ending in Guiseborough. A beautiful part of the country.

It's a "Washing Copper", I remember seeing lots of these as a kid in the UK.

Used for washing clothes.

It's very easy to get the two mixed up.

This is why some men think with their brains, and other men think with their bollocks.

Wow, I can see why you're concerned lol, but as I said earlier, I would just let it chill for this year, and then next spring have a look at the root system and see what you've got to work with from that point.

All three trunks are leafing out. I'm assuming this is a good sign...

Yes, I would say it is, it's a good indication that everything is working ok. The leaves will be photosynthesising and supplying the tree with energy.

And yeah, I would leave it till next (early) spring to repot, get rid of the tap root and trim the finer roots to encourage new, vigorous growth.

Fingers crossed, it'll be fine, just let it do it's own thing for now and it'll probably bounce back ok. Every time I repot/root prune mine, I convince myself that I've overdone it and probably killed her, but she always recovers just fine :) It's amazing how resilient they are.

Good luck with it anyway, and if you get the chance, post some pics on here :)
