TROPHY CASE

SPAZ devs just pulled a total EA on me! Then BOOM! by TheDragonOfCastillein gaming

[–]AwkwardTurtle 0 points1 point ago

This example is both.

A Venn digram is an Euler diagram where there must be 2n sets, where n is the number of circles.

Here, the sets we have are "Exclusively Assholes", "Exclusively Redditors", "Assholes and Redditors", and "Neither Asshole or Redditor".

So, for our 2 circles we have 4 or 22 sets.

The sizes of the curves don't matter for either type.

Should we be allowed to sell our digital game collections? (Steam/Origin accounts, etc.) by Nydasin Games

As a related note, I don't buy used games out of what you might call moral principles, or something.

As far as I'm concerned, my act of purchasing a game is my way of telling the game company I like what they're doing, as the money I spent is my way of helping them produce more of the content I like.

From this standpoint buying a game used is really no different than pirating that game, except with that added point that it was a lost sale for the game company. If I'm going to give money for a game, I want the people who made it (or in the case of gog, the people who "fixed" it) to get that money, not some third party.

Thank you for making this point.

Video games are actually cheaper now than they used to be, but people still bitch and moan about the cost.

And I agree strongly with your second point as well, as opposed to piracy, a used game purchase is * definitively* a lost sale for the game publisher.

Considering that I very often see new games in stores priced at $60, with used games priced at $55, I can pretty definitively say the people who bought it at $55 would have purchased at full price if the used option didn't exist.

That is pretty unambiguously a lost sale. If the price difference were %30 or more, you could make that argument, but as it is, used games are not significantly cheaper than new.

I mean, that's pretty similar to a lot of the original stories as well.

I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you accidentally posted the wrong link there.

Here's a terrible quality video of the scene.

All right, fair enough.

I've learned not to take it for granted that people on the internet are joking.

It's still a fairly silly thing to post in this thread. It's a bit off topic.

Active mods make a happy subreddit.

Knowing that rule breaking posts are being removed just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

It provides a place for artists to store their work in a central location.

It allows me to find more art by artists I like.

And, shockingly, a lot of that art is not furry related.

On a complete side note, I still don't understand why furries are singled out on the internet. There are far weirder, and more disturbing things out there.

The ignore the shit you don't like. I'm sure that as an image hosting website, imgur is 90% terrible, but does that mean we should shun it?

Yeah, I just stepped through that part of the episode frame by frame, and didn't see anything that fit that description.

Really?

  • Under the Configurations heading, click "Select from Map"

  • Literally just click the map where you live

  • Click "Submit"

  • Under the Satellites heading click "ISS" (next to "10 day predictions for")

  • Tadaaa!

You can very often see them. and the applet seems to be able to split by "visible" or not.

You could also check out Heavens Above which does similar tracking, and lets you choose "Visible Passes". This will also show you the peak magnitude (brightness) of the object. Depending on where you are, you should be able to see anything brighter than a magnitude of 4, in this case brighter means lower number (with negative numbers being brighter than positive).

So yeah, you should be able to see it with the naked eye, but binoculars might help.

A tip for watching it is if it seems dim, don't look directly at it. Look to the side, as your night vision is worst directly in the center of your vision.

I totally agree, I mean the original Star Wars space battles are still fantastic.

I was using "good" in terms of what the OP was talking about.

If this bugs you so much, go read some hard science fiction novels. Many series portray space combat in a far more realistic way, it's really only TV and movies that suffer a lack of good space battles.

See here for some discussion of nukes in space.

The only blastwave you'd have would be from the material the bomb is made out of, which would be extremely small. Any damage dealt would be almost entirely through the (EM) radiation.

But if everyone starts doing this, I won't have an excuse to go on multiple hour internet voyages, tracking down image sources.

WHAT WILL I DO WITH ALL THIS FREE TIME?

In all seriousness, I very strongly agree with this, I hate seeing unsourced art. Both because the artists deserve views and recognition, and because it's easier to find more cool art when sourced correctly.
