Just tried it out, first impressions:

I reached the free to play limit on my first character within 18 minutes. It plays like a platformer nethack for casuals. Practical controls, neat graphics, pretty fun. Keyboard-only was fairly intuitive, although I still cannot figure out how to aim and zap wands without the mouse.

The stat-rolling system is completely unnecessary and straight up bad design. You can get the stat allocation you want (within what seems to be preset min/max for each stat for each class), you just have to get through the tedious step of clicking reroll… reroll… reroll… Just let us choose, damn it.

I would never know about the talent/skills window had I not found it by accidentally pressing 'y'. It's confusing that it does not have its icon in the row with inventory, quaff, zap etc.

During the short time I played I don't think I spotted a single thing not taken directly from nethack. It was a bit disappointing seeing such an original concept having no original lore.

Either way, it's fun, it's neat. It's clearly far from finished, but it plays.
