Don't sweat the face shape thing too much, man. It's not something that's set in stone like you can only get certain cuts with a certain shape. Pick a style you like and go for it. If it doesn't work out then try another in a few weeks.

I've just never seen black ties being recommended for interviews unless it's law enforcement or FBI or something. Honestly though it probably would not affect the interview either way.

I disagree. Because you're not a model it is relevant how they look on you because that's similar to how they'd look on the average guy here. I didn't mean like a whole body shot or anything. Just the boots with jeans or something. It adds to the review to show them in context.

Walmart caters to the average larger American so they're not going to carry small sized clothing.

Gap and Banana Republic both sell pants with a 28 inseam. J. Crew's Essential Chinos have a customizable inseam down to 26. Also if your waist is small enough you can look into children's sizes.

I'm 5'7" so I feel your pain. I usually just buy pants that fit in the waist regardless of length and just get them hemmed. I intend to start doing it myself.

Search around a bit next time. Dockers has a 20% off coupon if you join their email list. Same thing for Amazon. I got some from amazon using their coupon for around $36. I think the Gilt ones are exclusive colors or something but you can find very similar colors from either dockers or amazon.

Also check out TJ Maxx and Marshalls as they sometimes have stray Alphas for around $18. You might also like /r/frugalmalefashion

If you're looking for something that works with shorts then that severely limits your options. It's basically down to bucks, boat shoes and camp mocs. Wingtips or cap toe oxfords would look ridiculous with shorts (to most people, myself included).
