This play really shows you how fast the game of baseball is. That kid got one step on the ball after it traveled nearly 150 feet. Think about how fast the reflexes of infield players must be when they dive for line drives.

Plyometric training consists of three very basic movements. Jumping characterized by two foot landings is the most fundamental. Hopping is characterized by one foot landing. Due to the fact that body weight is supported on one leg on landing makes hopping more stressful. Bounding is characterized by alternate leg takeoff. This is also quite demanding because all the bodyweight is supported on one in the landings.

I'd like a more specific definition of 'plyometric training'. Gambetta says that plyometric training is not a conditioning tool. Nevertheless, many of the motions that Ultimate players are called on to perform again and again would be, by this definition, plyometric. I'm interested to see what Part Two holds.
