Tell him your broke it during sex if he needs an explanation. Everyone gets loving sometimes...

Get upset about it and make it seem like it's his fault. You've got to go in guns blazing, man. Fuck that motherfucker and his wack-ass defective fucking bed. I'm gonna sue, ya hear? I'm gonna sue all y'all!

Or, own up to the problem, offer to fix the bed, and use this as a wake up call to change your life. If you have ever cried out, asking a higher power to show you a sign, to help you over that hump, this could be that sign. Use the way you feel right now, about yourself, and harness it to become someone else. Go to /r/loseit or /r/keto and find similar people that can help you become less...you.

Oh I am working on my weight, don't worry :) This wasn't my wake-up call, it was a painful reminder.

The bed is unfixable. Not enough structural integrity any more.

Hard luck then - I'd go and buy a new bed myself, sooner than waiting to be embarrassed in front of landlord. I'm working on my fat problem and I'd damned than show myself up.

I am sorry to hear about the bed. I hope everything works out with your landlord. Hopefully, you and he/she will be able to come to a reasonable resolution. Good luck on the weight loss. I started last year and have lost 70 pounds. I was trying to motivate you, as I too am a fat guy...or soon to be ex-fat guy.

Fix the bed, don't tell landlord.

How recently was the bed purchased? Maybe it was bound to happen.

I don't know tbh. Only been living here for a year and a half. The furniture is crap though, my closet is coming apart piece by piece and my desk feels like it's about to cave in.

maybe its time to make lifestyle changes.

Fix the bed, don't tell landlord. He will only screw you over for a new bed.

Did you take pics of the areas and such when you moved in? And when living there, did you get more pics when things started to "fall apart?" something's you aren't responsible for (normal wear and tare) the thing about furnished places, you gotta keep up with the pics. Crucial when moving out (deposit claims).. Hope this helped.
