I'm at 45/6. The story I got from one lady is they are the union for the building maintenance and cleaning staff and the new contract would cut their benefits and vacation in half. Not sure exactly what the yellow signs say from here though.

Edit: signs say 32BJ SEIU. Stronger Together

Yep, this is it. They gathered on 41st St at 6th Ave, right below my office window. Whistled, blew horns, beat drums, all sorts of fun stuff for a good hour or two before marching.

From what I've heard it's the window cleaner's union. I wish it was OWS because when I saw the the unified colors and marching I thought they had gotten their act together.

This is SEIU's Local 32bj -- maintenance and cleaning workers. They're having difficulty with their new contract negotiation, and two weeks ago, voted to authorize a strike, if necessary. The march, is the workers turning out -- in solidarity -- to put on a show of force to the landlords and building management companies.
