Probably in the hospital holding my new baby girl.

[–]Giantswarnr 12 points13 points ago

This guy.

[–]Giantsthebizzle 15 points16 points ago

You should name her after the MVP.

[–]PatriotsNutella_the_Hun 25 points26 points ago

"Here's my gorgeous baby daughter, GRONK. Yes, that is all-caps."

[–]Patriotsfiction8 4 points5 points ago

When you name your daughter GRONK, she makes friends with undesirables....

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 1 point2 points ago

... so don't have a grandchild with a spiked collar.

[–]Patriotsfriendlyaussie 0 points1 point ago

"Here's my new baby girl, Miss. Vince Wilfork Jr... What? Yes I thought about this! NO I DON'T CARE THE INTERNET TOLD ME TO! WELL IT'S TOO LATE NOW"

[–]Panthersbuchstaben 4 points5 points ago

May your new daughter's life be filled with many Panthers' Super Bowl victories... oh, and good health & happiness too.

[–]Panthersjhend 2 points3 points ago*

Thanks.

Right after my son was concevied was the same year we lost that bad playoff game against the Cards. When he was born we went 2-14. But after we found out about the little girl we drafted Cam and things have been looking up. Maybe she is bringing balance to the force....maybe even a super bowl or 2.

[–]GiantsTempusSpatium 0 points1 point ago

Oh jeeze, I can see it now, you're going to have a favorite child based on luck they give your sports franchise.

[–]Patriotsfiction8 -1 points0 points ago

So basically you need to get rid of your son and only keep the daughter.

[–]Panthersjhend 1 point2 points ago

Yeah...I love my Panthers but I think you know my response on that one.

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 0 points1 point ago

Don't be a monster! A loving parent could never just give up a child to help a sports team win. That is just sick and ridiculous.

Gender reassignment however...

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

That sounds amazing!! Don't name her Belichick.

[–]RedskinsGMUSSTN 16 points17 points ago

I am going to eat a biologically implausible amount of queso and chips.

[–]RavensDr_ChimRichalds 7 points8 points ago

I will also be eating my sadness.

[–]occupy_voting_booth 45 points46 points ago

I'm going to sit on my couch with my wife, not drink or eat anything and be on the verge of a heart attack while the fucking Giants beat the Pats again with Eli's patented brand of Disney magic bullshit and then I'm going to punch a few walls and go to bed.

[–]Patriotstheleprechaun69 16 points17 points ago

It's not even gonna be remotely enjoyable to watch this game.

[–]GiantsProbablyJustArguing 17 points18 points ago

I agree. I didn't have any fun watching the SF game either, as I'm sure you guys didn't while watching the Ravens game.

[–]PatriotsTheLinkin 13 points14 points ago

Zero fun. Every time my team gets close to or in a championship game the games become no fun for me, and if that is the goal of every season, sometimes I wonder why I like sports. The UConn-Butler game tortured me. (To be fair it probably tortured non fans)

[–]GiantsProbablyJustArguing 8 points9 points ago

Yeah, same here. I was asking myself that question the other night. "Why do I like this?"

[–]PatriotsUnclaimedUsername 3 points4 points ago

I have to turn the TV off sometimes. Usually after turnovers, sometimes after opposing touchdowns. Makes me feel better knowing some fans on the other side are the same way.

[–]Giantsthebizzle 3 points4 points ago

That was quite a suffering championship game. At least better than Mich State-UNC a few years earlier.

[–]Saintskinoflo 1 point2 points ago

What made uconn-butler horrible for me is that they both played pretty horribly.

[–]koouunn 0 points1 point ago

thats putting it nicley, they played like shit. so many misses that just enraged the blood

[–]PatriotsSocks_Junior 3 points4 points ago

Though the game itself will be nothing but torture and agonizing suspense, the rush that will come if they win will make it all worth it.

[–]Packersjfudge 1 point2 points ago

I totally lost my mind during the Super Bowl last year. I ended up screaming louder and louder towards the end of the game, and at one point I almost forgot that there were other people in the room. But you are right, the rush is totally worth it, even though it wasn't until a couple days later that I fully regained my voice.

[–]BroncosCrosshare 1 point2 points ago

This was me in our back to back years. I didn't eat and couldn't be talked to all the way through Super Bowl XXXII. Your best hope is to put one in the bag and the second half becomes relaxing. (I'm still rooting against you)

[–]Steelersjacobii 1 point2 points ago

You think watching your team in the playoffs is zero fun?

[–]PatriotsTheLinkin 0 points1 point ago

In some ways, yes

[–]Patriotschoast 10 points11 points ago

remember, press your thumb into your fist to make a nice flush hitting surface. Boxers fractures kind of suck

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

You mean when the Pats beat the Giants, right?

[–]occupy_voting_booth 6 points7 points ago

It's actually the first time I've ever pulled for a team to win the NFC championship game not because how how they'd match up with the Pats, but because I didn't want to have to endure another loss to the Giants.

[–]49ersDiggingNoMore 13 points14 points ago

I will be eating food and watching the game with my wife's family, which is comprised entirely of Giants fans.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 5 points6 points ago

Oh God, I feel bad for you and your Giants fan family :/

[–]49ersDiggingNoMore 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, 49ers vs Giants, winner goes to the Super Bowl. At least they didn't talk too much smack and let me mourn in peace. I guess I'll be somewhat vindicated when the Giants knock off the Pats.

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 0 points1 point ago

Now I feel bad for you too.

[–]PatriotsTheLinkin 17 points18 points ago

I am emotionally incapable of being a Patriots fan so I plan on locking myself in my room and sobbing while Eli Manning convinces ESPN and the rest of the fucking world that somehow two is greater than three and that a bunch of 8-8 seasons are better than Peyton's body of work

[–]PatriotsTheLinkin 17 points18 points ago

February 3rd 2008 was without question the worst day of my entire life

[–]GiantsRugerRedhawk 18 points19 points ago

Well the good news is it sounds like you've lived a pretty damn good life.

[–]PatriotsTheLinkin 12 points13 points ago

No question. Still hurt though.

[–]Giantsthebizzle 3 points4 points ago

I feel the opposite.

[–]NFCF7R7E7D 1 point2 points ago

Well the bad news is it sounds like you've lived a pretty damn miserable life.

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 1 point2 points ago

Why would you feel that day was the best day of TheLinkin's life?

[–]Giantsthebizzle 0 points1 point ago

It was one of the best days of my life.

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 1 point2 points ago

I should really make a novelty for these types of posts. Too bad 'MissesThePoint' is already taken. Damn you MissesThePoint.

[–]Giantsthebizzle 2 points3 points ago

Oh I just like to hammer the point home that the Patriots blew their perfect season to a team that didn't even win its division cementing a legacy of failure that will celebrates it's 4th anniversary in a few days. And by that I mean that Tom Brady will have the worst game of his life and lose yet another Superb Owl to Eli Manning. I just want to be sure I have stated that Tom Brady blew his perfect season in the Superb Owl.

[–]PatriotsBluntVorpal 1 point2 points ago

It would seem that we both need novelties for our ridiculous statements. However, upvote 'for Superb Owl'.

[–]Patriotsiamdan1 4 points5 points ago

As far as I know, there was never a February 3rd 2008. It went directly from the 2nd to the 4th, and that day never happened.

[–]PatriotsRE1Do -3 points-2 points ago

This.

[–]Patriotsramp_tram 1 point2 points ago

I already jumped on the Dolphins bandwagon.

[–]Giantsparliamentlites 6 points7 points ago

Plans likely include a lot of panic and anxiety for 4+ hours...beers...and giants fans.

[–]Giantsvonkham 4 points5 points ago*

Gonna watch the game at home with my daughter who has been a good luck charm for the Giants. Every game that I watched without her, the Giants lost. She was out for the 49s-Giants until the 4th qtr - and once she was back, well - ya know :)

[–]PatriotsBUSean 7 points8 points ago

I gotta tell you right now, in regards to your daughter...we're taking her. I can only hope that you are not Liam Neeson.

[–]Giantsvonkham 3 points4 points ago

and what if I AM Liam Neeson? THEN WHAT?! Oh yes, I think you know what ...

[–]PatriotsBUSean 3 points4 points ago

I'm so sorry about your wife :(

[–]Giantsvonkham 3 points4 points ago

I'm not :D

[–]PatriotsBUSean 5 points6 points ago

WELL 1-800-FLOWERS.COM HAS A STRICT NO REFUNDS POLICY THAT YOU COULD HAVE HELPED ME WITH 8 MINUTES AGO

[–]Patriotsfiction8 0 points1 point ago

Well then we wait until there's less than movie-length left in the game.

[–]Patriotsoshkoshthejosh 3 points4 points ago

Friend just got a new apartment, superbowl party there with copious amounts of beer.

[–]GiantsFinbarMagee 8 points9 points ago

When the giants played the pats in the sb 4 years ago I was in high school in NY and went to my friends house and ate buffalo wings. 4 years later I am in Miami for college....good thing that my friend goes to the same school as me down here so I am going to his house and having wings and beer, hoping it works again!

[–]Giantsthebizzle 4 points5 points ago

You think that's rough? 4 years ago I was going to UMass.

[–]GiantsFinbarMagee 2 points3 points ago

Not that it is rough at all, I feel that it is pretty lucky I can be at the same friends house and bring the same luck. But at least you got to buy your Giants gear in pride there!

[–]BroncosCrosshare 1 point2 points ago

Rough... or awesome?

[–]Giantsthebizzle 1 point2 points ago

Actually kind of awesome especially considering how the world series went that year.

[–]BearsDtrain323i 2 points3 points ago

Making lots of food and drinking lots of beer

[–]49ersrainischill 3 points4 points ago

excessive butt chugging

[–]GiantsLordDinglebury 4 points5 points ago

I'm going to be in Brazil for work. :(

Going to Brazil for work is cool and all, but of course this business trip fell right on Super Bowl weekend, and this Super Bowl of all fucking Super Bowls. The worst thing is it's been delayed and pushed back a dozen times, much to my growing dismay.

Oh well. At least there's the internet and r/nfl, so it'll kind of feel like I'm at a SB party in my hotel room..

[–]PatriotsDefiantbringdaruckus 9 points10 points ago

My lady and I and our two dogs firmly entrenched in our living room. I'm planning to eat my weight in buffalo wings and nachos. I'm not going to even answer my phone unless it's my mother, she's the only person stressing over the game more than me.

[–]BroncosCrosshare 2 points3 points ago

Fuck the phone people when your team is in a big game. It's like, you know me, you know I'm a die hard, leave me the hell alone.

[–]PatriotsDefiantbringdaruckus 2 points3 points ago

The worst is the "do you believe how close this is?" call. Yeah, I believe it...I'm watching it and I am about to have a heart attack!!! Now I've got Buffalo sauce all over my phone to go along with all my anxiety.

[–]Steelerssmacksaw 8 points9 points ago

Comment on reddit. Best of both worlds: I can choose when I want to interact with other people, but I can basically be left alone to understand and enjoy the game for the sake of it.

[–]Ravensaviewoflife 3 points4 points ago

A lot of crying.

[–]GiantsRugerRedhawk 3 points4 points ago

Party at my house. Busting out the fry daddy to make fries and wings. Will probably make a couple pizzas too. Maybe a few growlers of fresh beer from Ithaca Beer, but I pace myself when my team is on the field.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

Oh man, that sounds awesome!

[–]Giantsstatic_silence 3 points4 points ago*

I will be in a bar in Covent Garden (London) losing bets with friends and spending an obscene amount of money on jaegerbombs (as is custimary) with the same people i saw the last 4 superbowls with . Ill miss Brighton this year though. Then 6 hours after that, I will go to work and hope i am sober.

EDIT: Tbh i doubt I will drink as i probably wont want to take my eyes off the game. However if things are going really badly then i dont think ill be sober enough to make it into work later that day

[–]Giantssweetreverie 3 points4 points ago

1) Drink copiously. 2) Scream until I lose my voice at the poor television set. 3) Trash talk all the things. 4) Repeat until victory, or too much alcohol.

[–]Patriotschoast 5 points6 points ago

im going to take a handful of blood thinners just in case, maybe one or two beers for good measure.

[–]Patriotsjacobpno1 6 points7 points ago

I've already started planning out where I'm going to put the spill over couches and TVs in my dining room and kitchen.

[–]Patriotssouthpaw87 0 points1 point ago

Having some friends over for wings, nachos and lots of beer. Going to try very hard not to kill my anti-Patriots friend if the Giants win.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

I feel that!

[–]Giantsreddug 2 points3 points ago

Going to have a big party at our house in college... about 25 people and lots of food, beer and snacks ^ i´m still searching for some food to turn it blue for the giants... thought about a pudding or a drink with curacao... any ideas?

[–]SaintsEvernoob 2 points3 points ago

I'll be watching it on the big screen at the Sports Cafe in Haymarket.

Taking the monday off work so I can enjoy the hangover.

[–]Bearsprisonstrength 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to watch the first half in the Kansas City Airport by myself.

[–]RavensAmazingJuice 1 point2 points ago

It will be more like super bowl Monday morning.. i will sit alone on the computer to 6 am watching the super bowl.. did i mention I'm from Sweden?

[–]Patriotsflynnzo 0 points1 point ago

I think we're going to throw a party at the local pub. I'm making "Occupy" shirts.

[–]49ersJ-rexreddit 0 points1 point ago

sorry I don't watch repeats, only new episodes

[–]Patriotsiamdan1 4 points5 points ago

So you didn't watch the 49ers Giants game last weekend?

[–]JaguarsProfessor_Layton 1 point2 points ago

Flying out to California for business (from east coast) and missing the entire game.

Worst part about it? The Pro-Bowl will be the last bit of football I'll watch live.

[–]Falconshypotheticalquestion 1 point2 points ago

Isn't there a pretty good chance of it being aired on a channel the airline carries? I'm assuming it isn't a discount airline if its for business. Also, if you have wifi on the plane, just shell out the 10 bucks and stream it...

[–]49ersmattigus 1 point2 points ago

I bought a bowl for chips and dip that's shaped like a 49er helmet. I will probably use it for my Super Bowl party and tape a Giants logo onto it.

[–]BearsAngry_Caveman_Lawyer 1 point2 points ago

Headed over to a friends house, I plan on eating lots of barbequed meat, drinking good beer and hopefully a glass or two of some good Irish Whiskey.

And since I don't care who wins, I get to actually enjoy the game for the way they play it rather than stress about it. Feels good man, for me this is the best outcome of the post season, since I don't have a rooting interest either way. It sucks rooting for a team to fail in the SB, it's almost as stressful as when your team plays in it.

[–]Redskinsmmzznnxx 0 points1 point ago

Overeat, and mope that I have to see either the Patriots or the Giants get their 4th. Perhaps ascertain alcohol to cope with the reality of it all.

[–]49ersklabob 1 point2 points ago

I'll do some homeworks for uni and watch the 4th quater if the game is close.

[–]borgerman 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to spend it reading The Count of Monte Cristo and making those cookies with the little flower shaped pat of icing on them....

Who am I kidding? I'm going to watch because it's the Super Bowl, even if both teams are on my top 5 most hated teams list.

There will probably also be man food, like buffalo wings or nachos, involved

[–]PatriotsBUSean -1 points0 points ago

You really should have a bad-ass Book Club and Floral Arrangement Baking Party on Super Bowl Sunday.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

Mmmm man food. One of my favourite parts!

[–]GiantsDrakea89 0 points1 point ago

Drink beer, watch the game, and try not to go into cardiac arrest over how nervous I am

[–]49erscupertrooper 1 point2 points ago

It's going to be about 60˚ outside; play soccer with my niece and nephew. After the game's over, find out the score. Pats win: watch highlights. Pats lose: play some more soccer.

We do have a $5/square parlay sheet (10 x 10, last digit of scores at end of each quarter) that in 15 years I've never won ever ever.

[–]Buccaneersbeniro 0 points1 point ago

Nuditay!

[–]Ravenspdiz8133 0 points1 point ago

Stay at college with friends who don't care anything about football while my family of patriots fans watches it at home.

[–]Jetsgopaloo 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to sob in the corner as i unwillingly watch my most hated divisional rival takes on the other NY team whos fans have verbally torn up my team well after we finished our season.

[–]Seahawksdeadgreystar 1 point2 points ago

Since I live in the UK I'm doing something different - I'm going to get up at 10am, make me some breakfast, clean my house, have lunch, go do some shopping, have dinner, play some games, then at 10:30pm sit down and watch the pre-game show. I'll be up till 4 :(. Also playing in a flag tournament on the Saturday, cause I'm so cool.

[–]49ersxace 0 points1 point ago

I'm going to play SWTOR.

[–]Raidersfawkesmulder 1 point2 points ago

I'm doing the Master Cleanse right now (fasting), my first day back to eat food is Superbowl Sunday.

100 wing party pack, beers, friends aplenty.

Go GMEN

[–]Patriotsramp_tram 0 points1 point ago

You're going to be so sick.

[–]NFLStigNasti 1 point2 points ago

Exactly my thoughts. Pretty sure you're supposed to work food back in your diet, not just stuff your face.

[–]Bearslyingit 1 point2 points ago

Well, the game is on BBC1, so I will at least be able to watch it in decent quality.

but it won't start till about 1AM I imagine, so I'll have a nap around 8, wake up about 12:30, start drinking (perhaps the FIL will join me), and then after the game get a 2-3 hour nap before going to work.

that Monday should be really interesting

[–]Patriotsnoobian1000 -1 points0 points ago

I have a buddy coming in from another city (Packers fan) and a couple local friends (Niners and Saints) coming over to watch the game, eat snacks, and get drunk!

[–]Giantsthebizzle 1 point2 points ago

Full open bar and free buffet for the high rollers @ my local bar.

[–]RavensILoveCannabis 0 points1 point ago

Normally I have people over for a small party, but this year I'll drink myself into a stupor alone.

[–]Jetsrbart65 0 points1 point ago

I plan on finding a few friends to go to Buffalo Wild Wings, since I'm only 20

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

I love that place! I went to one in Buffalo after a Pats/Bills game a few years back and have been in love ever since. They're finally bringing them into Canada, yay!

P.S. You can drink here!

[–]PatriotsOpinion8ted -1 points0 points ago

Having my GF over for homemade Fajitas, some Sam Adams and some pregame sexy time.

[–]PatriotsJohnnyMox -1 points0 points ago

I'll be in Sec. 630, rocking my Flutie jersey.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

I am SO beyond jealous!!

[–]Brownsmagickmarker 1 point2 points ago

The fantasy league i am in has a big superbowl party. So...you know...drinking...eating...shit talking...etc.

[–]Raidersziggy88 0 points1 point ago

Drink a beer or two maybe three ahh fuck it get shit face!

[–]Coltsrazpotim 0 points1 point ago

Staying up late as hell all alone watching a game that's hopefully worth it (being an EU fan isn't easy or social)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Drinking heavily.

[–]BearsPwnzillaGorilla 1 point2 points ago

I live an hour away from Indy so I'm gonna try and rouse a few buddies to make the journey down and experience Owl culture. Maybe see what the bars are like on Capitol Ave or in Broad Ripple.

</indiana homer>

[–]JaguarsPyistazty 1 point2 points ago

I'm delivering all of you crazy fans pizza, so tip well pleaae. Got stiffed 6 times in 5 hours last year.

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

Oh man! Don't worry, if I order in, I'll give a great tip!

[–]Patriotsel_wello 0 points1 point ago

I'm going to do what I've been doing the last few games: sitting in the same place, wearing the same clothes and drinking the same brand of beer.

[–]Saintsfuzzymayo 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to get rip-roaring drunk and turn the radio broadcast on in my bathroom. Then, I'll turn the shower on as hot as it goes, and I'll climb in with a six pack of beer.

Whilst drunkenly sipping my shower beer, I will listen to the game and bang my head against the wall, all the while moaning "It should have been us."

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

Drinking in the shower makes everything better.

[–]PatriotsDanltQC 0 points1 point ago

Die happy of stress after the Pats win in OT

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

Oh man, my asshole will be clenched the whole game. I just know it.

[–]GiantsColonelFuckface 1 point2 points ago

I make pizza, drink wine (we are Italian). Me, the wife, my old man (probably), good old boy Glenn, dog, 3 disinterested cats (I think they are Lions fans).

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

My cats are evenly split between the Pats and the Cowboys (clearly from their fathers side of the family, that Dallas love!).

[–]Patriotslargelion 1 point2 points ago

Go to a bar with friends and start drinking. If we win I will keep drinking beer. If we lose I will move on to shots and black out and never remember any about this ever again. It's the only way.

[–]PatriotsPup420 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to visit my friends at their college, buy a couple thirty racks and watch the game on a gloriously unnecessarily big 60" tv.

[–]PatriotsBUSean 1 point2 points ago

Posted this on facebook yesterday: "Chicago folks from the NE area: I'm thinking of having people over next Sunday. Boston-area only. We're going to the mattresses."

[–]Patriotsbizangles[!] 1 point2 points ago

This will be the 7th superbowl party I've hosted in a row. My brother and I will be making another huge pile of meatballs (also a 7-year tradition) and watching the game. Hoping the outcome is better than 4 years ago.

[–]Patriotsfiction8 1 point2 points ago

I'm going to give myself a fucking ulcer with worry.

[–]49ersDurantalot 0 points1 point ago

I'll watch the Chelsea v Man U game and go for a walk.

[–]49ersBacongreasy 0 points1 point ago

I'll be at the game. Unfortunate that the Niners lost though...

[–]PatriotsChevellephreak[S] 0 points1 point ago

But still, what an experience!

[–]49ers415jelly -1 points0 points ago

Get drunk. But only because we lost and I want to drown my sorrows away.
